I used to love getting stuff from them, but don't have anything in your life come through that impacts your order short notice. They cannot and will not help you. I had an preorder that I needed to update the shipping on, but the order had started to be processed. I contacted them and they could not do anything and suggested I contact the delivery company to get the package rerouted. I asked for the routing number, but I was told it had not been created yet and not shipped! So, tracking not made, but they cannot change the address. So that means that they will not update their work flow for a customer. This is laughable as it always takes so long for them to ship out in stock order as it is. I feel like I am just money to them and they cannot give their customer support any tools to help people.
If the old address does not return the package and I cannot get it forwarded, I will be out money even with the insurance as it will be "Delivered".
They must not have much control of their inventory on orders so I cannot trust buying anymore from them.

Gaslighting customers on the reg
I have been waiting for my Hatsune Miku Street Ver Bicute Bunnies Vocaloid Figure for almost a year.
I have emailed their company previously about this and was given a very rude response back.
Their company took my money, sent half my order, and proceeded to ghost and gaslight me for months.
I just wanted to be updated every so often, like one email every few months.
I would have liked some semblance of empathy conveyed (I.E. "We understand your frustration... please bear with us...") at anytime.
This company could have taken so many steps to retain me as customer, they have failed at customer service.

Horrible return service
If they send you a damaged item you will be responsible to pay for return shipping. Kind of a middle finger to the customer in my opinion. Also the return process is clucky and takes too many steps on top of the extra cost. This is the thanks for doing business with Right Stuf. Unfortunate but I'll be going elsewhere from now on.

Poor customer service
I used to think this was an excellent site but their customer service is absolutely awful. I had packages arrive with dents and crushed boxes. They assume that simply because they add a liner around their items in the box, it is invincible.
Then, when I contacted customer service about them, they told me the damage doesn’t meet their standards to be considered damaged. They even had the nerve to tell me that “their items ship from their warehouse in the best condition possible”. The shipping box was totally fine but the item looked like it was thrown out a window.
Last, their free shipping limit eventually went from $50 to $75, and their Sezzle limit also changed from $100 to $150. Some people may not care about these but they seriously affect me. Also, when you buy a figure from their website (which are usually expensive in the first place), they add a “surcharge” on it and prohibit you from using coupons on them.
The surcharge on a figure that weighs less than 1 pound and is about as big as a funko pop costs $13. I’ve shipped packages before and I know for a fact it doesn’t cost that much for shipping. Basically all the most expensive items never allow coupons to be used.
Edit: after reading their reply, I can absolutely assure you my item looks like it was thrown out a window. They will lie directly to me even though I have the item in hand. Also, a Nendoroid figure barely spans 6” long. They also weigh roughly a pound. I have shipped a packages over 12” before that weigh 1 pound using USPS. Shipping label still costs $8 at most. However, even if you spend more than $250 worth of different items, they will still charge you shipping. In fact, it actually gets more expensive.

Kevin,
We only ship the best of the best that we receive from our publishers. Minor nicks on manga are part of the binding process and we have a blog post that describes and has images as to why publishers can't control all imperfections. But I can assure you nothing left this facility looking like it was thrown from a window.
The financial changes are direct result of the challenges that have hit every eCommerce company in the world this year. There were multiple surcharges added by the shipping carriers and rather than increase the price of our products we opted to increase the shipping threshold. However, we did research prior to making this decision and the majority of our customer spend significantly more than $75 per order.
Perhaps you should review a topic called Dimensional Weight. This is how the "surcharge" on the figures actually works and the term "surcharge" here is actually our shipping cost for the figure, our system just calls it a "surcharge". However, a 1 pound figure with a single dimension over 12" forces a package to be "Dim Weighted". Dimensional weight isn't on just the figure, but the outer box the figure will ship in. We are always trying to provide better shipping options, but 2020 has not made that easy or affordable.
We wish you all the best!

Uncertain ship times, Very slow, no communication about delays
Very poor experience. What’s odd is that I made a purchase in June at the height of Covid-19 panic and got my first order in quick time. Then I made another purchase the next month, but that one was held up, so I cancelled it.
Come August I make another purchase maybe thinking that the lack of prompt fulfillment time was a fluke. I even waited 10 business days, my order was still not shipped. For items that were in stock they sure take a while to ship; that leads me to believe that they never really had the stock they claimed or something on my order was holding everything back.
Well I cancelled my order. My confidence in right stuf has been eroded. Here’s hoping that $300+ statue order will come through, guess I’ll find out in February 2021.

Hi Dan,
We reviewed your account and there are a few more details to your situation. Your April and June orders you had checked out with PayPal. The order you are referencing you cancelled was placed on 07/12/20, however this time you checkout using a credit card. When our system went to process your order the night of 07/12/20 your card was flagged as needing some additional information. We emailed you on 07/14/20 asking you to contact us for the additional information. We take credit card security very seriously here at RSA, however when you had not contacted us by 07/21/20 the system cancelled your order. Our system would have sent you a cancellation email on 07/21/20, which one of customer service representatives advised you in your support case on 07/22/20.
PayPal and Sezzle have their own security rules, so utilizing them doesn't require us to do additional review unless they notify us there is a problem, however our credit card security protocol requires a number of items to match exactly and when they don't we hold the order until we speak with the card holder. This reduces the risk of stolen cards being utilized.
While we understand your frustration with the cancelled order, it had nothing to do with product not being in-stock or our untimely shipping it was about protecting your credit card data. Your Figure order will ship as soon as the figure arrives in 2021 as you did not utilize a credit card on this order. However, it is important to know that figures are often delayed for one reason or another, so we recommend checking the item on the site from time to time to see if the release date has been moved.
We hope you and yours are remaining safe and healthy.

Great, but quality is falling
I've been a Rightstuf customer for a while now, and I have usually had great experiences when shopping here. As of late however, any time I ask CS about combining shipments, so I can have things sent a bit sooner I just get a no sorry... RS use to actually care about customers and help out with things like this, now I'm stuck between waiting for my order (an unknown time) or canceling and just getting it else where.
I under stand times have been a bit difficult, but it's not just for them, going the tiny bit extra to simply combine 1 item with an order would be a huge help and they won't even try.
In response to the reply. I waited a full week with NO response, and was than told i was out of the 3 day modification window. I like many others understand COVID19 is slowing many things down. How ever a full week to aknowledge an email, then telling the customer sorry its to long after the order has been placed
Are you seriously going to make such assumptions about your customers? "we are far more disappointed that people can’t seem to remember..." This attitude is exactly what I mean by falling service, a simple we are sorry it took an extend amount of time would suffice without making me even less likely to order again.

We have been working with a reduced staff since early March even though our order volume has actually gone up due to COVID-19 and folks being at home. Our partial shipping policy is in place to keep orders moving through the system fluidly and while you feel we should make an exception for you, there are hundreds of thousands of customers wanting the same exception, which would completely disrupt the shipping process. Additionally, we offer free domestic shipping at $50, which is not the standard in online shopping. So, in order to keep this free shipping threshold low, we have to keep our partial shipping policy. While we are disappointed that you feel our service level is failing, we are far more disappointed that people can’t seem to remember that we all have family and loved ones who are hoping and praying for our safety daily and that we are truly doing the best we can give all of the current conditions.
We hope you remain safe and healthy.

Shipping stuck in transit for a week now+damaged goods
So I've ordered from right stuff 3 times now, first time everything came in fine, second time two of the 3 books I've ordered were yellowing from lack of book care and the bluray I ordered came a bit damaged but I let it go. Now I ordered a big purchase of $130, it's about to be 2 weeks now and it's been stuck in transit without change to the tracking information since last monday. I have heard of horror stories of people having to wait a month or two before or that in the process their goods are damaged and rightstuf has refused to do a complete refund and will make you pay for the return if anything comes in damaged. I do not want that experience, so let's hope for the best.
I will update later about this issue.

Definitely not Animazing.
Definitely not Animazing.
I was a pretty frequent customer of RightStuf up until about 6 months ago. I tend to give vendors a 3 strike rule, and then their out!
Unfortunately my dealings with RS customer service were not Animazing at all, and if they plan on staying in business for another 31 years it might be helpful to solve the issues rather then making yourself look worse by your responses to these reviews.
I can go back and copy paste my support cases directly in here if needed, but I will keep it simple and detail what led to the strike 3.
I placed an order for a title that went on sale the very next day after I placed the order. As the order had not shipped (not that it should make a difference) I placed a call into RS Customer service asking for a price adjustment. And was promptly told they are unable to do anything about this, as the item was pending shipment and their systems did not allow any changes while in this transition to warehouse state.
This then set off a phone conversation with 3 different reps that each gave me a different answer, with one of them stating.. "If we had to price adjust every order to reflect a sale, then they would also have to do the opposite whenever an item went off sale and charge the higher price. I asked her if she understood how e commerce worked, and that would be considered fraudulent.
This prompted me to escalate to a supervisor, who still did not have the power to make a price adjustment on an "unshipped" item.
When all was said and done, They ended up issuing me a gift certificate for the adjustment amount via email.
Honestly though the fact that it took an hour of my time, on something that if I ordered from Amazon, the adjustment would have happened automatically. So RS either empower your agents to become animazing, or update your outdated e-commerce and logistics software that is "tying" your hands behind your back.
Your customers are your biggest asset, alienating and frustrating them drives them to you competitors...
What RS does great!
Packaging. This alone is worth it if you go for limited editions, and this is the single thing Amazon cannot compete with. My items arrive well packed and in great shape so Kudos for that.
