So disappointed. Booked a resort for our Disney World trip February 2020 for February 2021. RCI will give us zero dollars back since we need to cancel because of Covid. Every other travel industry company we have dealt with during this pandemic has been more than reasonable and accommodating. I will never book through RCI now.

The whole world has been affected by the Covid pandemic, but RCI are still charging normal fees for a service they admit they are unable to provide. I would have had to break my Government's laws snd guidelines to travel this year, but I am still being invoiced for full membership and a points saving fee to carry the points I couldn't use this year, on to next year!! What am I being charged for when they couldn't arrange points exchanges? Every travel company/airline/resort has been hit by this awful virus, my own wedding florist business has had to close, but I am asked to pay full fees to RCI? I have emailed to try to discuss a reduction, but was told the fees are in the terms and conditions, but then, so is the service they are meant to offer. RCI will have been able to claim some business support in many counties if staff have had to be laid off. Almost every other annual charge or membership we have has been reduced - even our car insurance company offered a partial refund of premiums. Why then, is RCI different?able to charge full fees for a service they could not provide. P. L.

I have been and RCI customer for 25 years and the service the past couple of years in one word is absolutely "TERRIBLE". You will call and get put on hold immediately and then you listen to some boring lady tell you about Jose or Laura or Judy and what they have to say about traveling. RCI YOU CLAIM TO BE THE BIGGEST IN THE WORLD, AND MY TIP TO YOU IS YOUR SERVICE BETTER IMPROVE OR YOU ARE GOING TO GO UNDER. PEOPLE ARE NOT GOING TO PUT UP WITH SITTING ON THE PHONE WAITING FOR ONE OF YOUR PEOPLE TO FINALLY ANSWER THE PHONE....SINCE I WAS A DIRECTOR OF A MAJOR CORPORATION I WILL EDUCATE YOU....SERVICE DEVELOPS SALES, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND....NOT SURE WHO YOUR CEO IS BUT HE/SHE BETTER WAKE UP.

I just had the worst call ever with RCI. The representative told me I would need to pay a further $129 to cancel my trip to Las Vegas in January. Our governor in the State of California has us on a lockdown due to COVID-19. I am disappointed that we have to cancel our reservation. When the lockdown was put in place early December I called and spoke with what sounded like a representative from India. He put me on hold for a long time and came back and told me he spoke with his supervisor who told him that I should call back on 12/30/2020 to cancel as the State of California lockdown has not caught up with RCI’s system. If I called back then it would be in their system and I would be able to cancel with no charge. When I told the representative today she said she had no idea who I spoke to but that wasn’t true. I would have to pay $129 to cancel. Firstly, I was clearly lied to by the first representative. Secondly, the second representative hung up on me while I was in the middle of talking (note, I did not raise my voice, I was not rude in any way) Thirdly, why am I being nickel and dimed by RCI? I have been a customer for many years and feel that we are all in this together. COVID is here and we are having to deal with it the best way we can. RCI should not be trying to make a profit from COVID-19 but clearly your members are all feeling the same way from what I am seeing from numerous posts online. I have already emailed RCI Customer Service and waiting for a response over the standard one I just received. I am exceedingly disappointed and frustrated that RCI would try and profit from COVID. I personally have lost family members and friends from COVID-19 and what RCI are doing is absolutely unbelievable, inappropriate and unconstitutional.

RCI Travel Packages. The worst rip off. $3900 down the tubes. On hold for hours and I mean like 5 hours one day. To exchange anything with them is a nightmare. I finally after 4 hours one day got them to exchange something and they only booked one night when the benefit was for two. Their resorts that they advertise are the worst. Who wants to take a cruise in Covid? Everything expires before you can get it booked. One time I canceled something because of Covid and they said I didn't book fast enough even though the cash value wasn't there for weeks so they were going to take it away from me. I finally found out they only had it up for 3 days. That took 4 to 5 hours to straighten out because they had to go through their team and then their manager. I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with these people they promise things when they sell you the package, then never answer the phone and then when you finally get someone to use a benefit you have, they do everything in their power to not give it to you. I could have booked everything they offer cheaper and with far less hassle.

THEY ARE COMPLETELY USELESS. I booked a trip back in MAY for a family member. They used my week, and only paid for the fees. Renewal of Membership was in 11/30/2020. I paid it on 11/29/2020. (I paid for RCI membership and Platinum) The 2021 Fees were due on 1/1/2021. I paid them on the same day. I (We) lost the booking and NO note was sent to me (us), and the credit was not posted to their account, but as a credit to the RCI account. They said I needed to be paid in full for 1/01/2021 back in 05/2020 for the january booking.. (TODAY).. Not back in May... VERY unprofessional. I spoke with two customer service employees, and they had NO clue about it. I spoke with TWO supervisors.. SUCK.. One wqas supposed to call back, never did.. the second had an attitude. I lost the booking back

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RCI!!! They’re great if you are able to book your trips years in advanced with no chance of anything in your life changing between now and then to include being able to predict pandemics. I called to have my exchange fee refunded since Americans were not able to travel to the country that my trip was booked during that time. They claimed that I was able to travel and that I should have went to Greece during the peak of the pandemic regardless and that they were nice enough to refund my points but can’t refund my exchange fee... ummm no... I got my points back because I cancelled the trip well in advanced during the time frame that allotted for a 100% point return because I could already tell that I wouldn’t be able to travel there since the pandemic was getting worse and not better. Do not do business with these people. If anything they’re making more money than ever during this pandemic by just collecting exchange fees for doing absolutely nothing.

I was charged wrong on the three weeks I booked during an online-only offer for $199 so I called in and the guy told me you can only get that online offer if you call in odd but everything was resolved. Then RCI added another random charge so I call back & was told a credit will post to your credit card Monday. Monday came no credit so I try the chat she won't help so I ask for a supervisor. Supervisor Julie AJW starts the conversation by telling me this call is being recorded. Then I start to say something & Jullie said "this will go a lot better if you stop talking". I was so thrown off by that comment I reply I will now be recording this call also. Julie replies i don't consent to this call being recorded. a few more quotes from Supervisor Julie. "It's your credit card sir I hope you would be smart enough to notice!"okay well this is what I'm telling I don't know who you spoke with but I would hope since we are talking about your money that you're not just trusting us and you are actually checking your credit card statement!" & issue still not resolved so i will be disputing all charges on my credit card and cancelling it. My day job is a Customer Experience Analyst. All i do all day is make sure my customers get everything they pay for and deserve & this interaction was the worst i have ever had. I don't know how Julie got her job but its time for something that does not involve interaction with humans.
