I ordered a gift for my wife for…
I ordered a gift for my wife for Valentines Day and the item arrived on time. Unfortunately quality control was lacking and the engraving that was glued inside the locket was crooked. I sent an email with images requesting a replacement and they said since it was gold they wouldn’t send a replacement until I returned the original. They supplied a return label and said there was still time to get a replacement in time for Valentines Day if I shipped the item back the next morning. I rearranged my schedule and went to FedEx first thing in the morning and then sent them a text where they requested letting them know the item was shipped. I was then ghosted for over a day and then they said that the shipping wasn’t quick enough and therefore the replacement wouldn’t arrive in time. They offered a 5% discount for my troubles (which still hasn’t been honored and is pretty weak given how the situation was handled). I just received a shipping confirmation for the replacement and they decided to ship the replacement USPS ground in an effort to save themselves money and now the replacement won’t be here for another week. Unbelievable! I will also say I also orders a locket a couple years back and when I did I called specifically to ask about having it updated in the future and they said no problem and that it would just be the cost of adding a picture which at the time was around $50-$60. This past fall I called in mid-November to inquire about sending it back for adding a picture and getting it back for Christmas. They said don’t send it until after Christmas because we won’t work on it before Christmas since it’s not a new item. They then said that it would cost $160 to have a picture added and suggested I just buy a new one which would only cost $60 for the picture (even though I’d obviously be spending much more because I’d have to buy a new locket as well). I guess after 2 interactions over a few years I would say that the company cares very little about customer service and cares a whole lot about their bottom line. I encourage companies to care about the bottom line and don’t spite them for that, there is obviously a way to do this while providing significantly better customer service then I’ve received from Picturesongold. Unfortunately if you look at any of the review sites for this company my experience was not unique and therefore I can’t recommend using them. I requested a 20% credit for the way I was treated but haven’t heard anything back as it was a recent request. Although I doubt they’ll even reply because I still haven’t seen the 5% they said they would credit. Update: I spoke with a supervisor named Erica who was apologetic and offered to give a credit back for the engraving. I appreciated the gesture and prompt reply to my review. I am revising my review to 2 stars because all the issues raised in my original review are accurate but I acknowledge that someone did try to follow up after a negative review was left and Erica seemed sincere in her apology and desire to compensate me. Thank you Erica.

Brett- I'm so sorry you had an issue with you locket and the placement of the photo. We 100% no questions asked would and will fix that for you. Looking back and the notes it looks like fedex delayed the package to us. You 100% deserve more than 5% off. Unfortunately the team can only give 5% off. Had you spoken to a manager we would have come to an agreement. It didnt see a manager was needed for the situation which I apologize if you asked for one and you werent given a manager. As far as a send in your own locket Im not sure who gave you a price of $160 as its right online the prices. We did ask if it was a repair or to change a photo to please wait till after christmas unless it was a christmas gift. I called and left you a message today and would love to go over any issues and come to a mutual agreement. We have been in business over 25 years and we would never want our customer upset or unhappy.
