I had a great experience and i notice I sleep better since the system is in. I set it off once on purpose and was delighted with how fast everything worked and everyone responded. But I need to ask for a manual as i didnt get one.

Call for service on my skybell and technician was there the next day right on time. Great service!!! look forward to doing business with North Star.

The people who come out to install your alarm are great.. They sit down with you and explain everything to you.. Ask you do you have any questions.. Then after they show you how it works.. They have you to show them that you understand & that you got it.. Great people.. Good company..

The installation technician could have done a better job explaining how to use the keypad and all of the features of this alarm package. The tech should have done a better job cleaning up after the installation process. The Northstar alarm service information package should be improved. Make sure that all of the terminology matches and that obsolete terms are eliminated or updated.

I could be 1/4 mile down the road and it would arm my home alarm. App is easy to use but I think it's stupid I can use my finger print to login but then I have to put in my code to actually arm or disarm?????😒

Although the my home alarm systems seems to be working well now. The install process was HORRIBLE! Starting with the alarm equipment not interfacing with my WIFI causing the tech to blow though two units, the tech mentioned to me he had another appointment so he left the install half done! and for some else to finish! I also opted to have my thermostat upgraded what a big mistake.The thermostat was installed incorrectly, meaning when I set it on the Heat setting, it would turn on the Air Conditioning Unit! When I turned on the Air Conditioning Unit it would turn on the Heat! I reporting this to my Northstar salesperson (which he told me he laughed after reading the text that I sent him! I didn't think my discomfort was so funny!) so he arranged for someone to come out to my home and have a look at the thermostat installation, by the end of that visit it seemed like the thermostat was going to work ok, well it didn't! I woke-up the next morning freezing. I contacted my Northstar salesperson again and asked if I could have my old thermostat re-deployed since I was not HAPPY with Northstar thermostat. My Northstar salesperson arranged the re-deployment of my old thermostat and I am pleased with the restored predicable, dependable functionality. After going though all this. I thought I would be finished hearing from Northstar, but that would not be the case. I received an voicemail mentioning my bank account information was incorrect! So I called Northstar where the person that I was working with mentioned she did not have my correct bank account information. I asked how could that be since I gave my Northstar salesperson a voided check? I never got an answer for the person I was speaking with that made since! But we straighten this matter out. So these are the reasons why my Northstar review rating are so low. (1) When working with an customer, NEVER excuse yourself to work with your next customer until the work is completely done! (2) Do Not bring-up or mention your next customer or workload! No body wants to hear that! (3) Do not laugh or make light of a customer's complaint or discomfort! (4) When leaving Voicemail messages Do not sound like a bill collector! This person did not have the whole story, had he did he would had known that the salesperson made the mistake! I gave him a voided check how do you mess that up?

I was really was please with the service we got from the representative.

Had two window contact that we had to bypass until you replaced them. System is slow when arming with our phone, but a part has been orderec that will hopefully speed things up.
