The sales person and setup was wonderful. Honeywell and Northstar are having some digital issues. Meaning a certain percentage of people don't get to talk to someone when the alarm code is not entered... They are trying to fix...

I love the service and the new features I have. The folks who sold me the package and those who installed it were very nice and professional. So far I am pleased with everything. I would recommend Northstar to others for sure.

The sales person was nice and told us about the system, but then asked us to tip the installer when he completed his job because they don't get paid very well. The sales person told us it would be a 2-hour installation; but it actually took 7 hours and the job is still not completed. The garage door was not linked to the system and the doorbell goes off by itself or just not at all. We have called about this but have received no response as of this date. I would not recommend this security company. The day after this review was posted, we received a response from Northstar Alarm Company directing us to contact a customercare@northstaralarm. email address; NOT a valid email address. Poor customer service seems to be company-wide.

Had issues at first but now seems to be ok

We are happy with our alarm most of the time. Being able to arm and disarm from our phones is awesome. Using the keypad to disarm can be frustrating. If you don't tap it just so, you get double numbers or none .

We had problems the first 3 weeks after the installation. We had several issues with the cell connecting with the monitoring center. After 4 service calls, changing the cell unit 3 times and adding an external antenna I think the problem may be solved. They were very prompt in trying to resolve the problem and very understanding.

NorthStar's salesmen, technicians and main office personnel were very courteous, extremely efficient and highly professional in their dealing with me in the purchase and installation of the security system. I could not have asked for a more receptive group of professionals when it came to any request I had of them! I highly recommend, without reservations, this security system!

When I first had problems with the system about 10 days after installation I couldn't reach anyone. The salesman,the technician or your customer service would not answer. The panel worked fine but the phone apps worked sporadically. Today is the 6th of July, sky bell hasn't registered or let me view since June 28th I didn't expect all the technical difficulties. At first I thought "this is great" 2 weeks later I just want the panel and a fob. You can keep all the bells and whistles, and the frustration.
