Nick's BuildingReviews of nicksbuilding.com

Don't buy any doors from this company. They are crooks. They sold me $3300.00 door and door was defective. Start showing cracks within two weeks . They refused to replace or take door back. Thinking about legal actions. Don't do any business with this company.

Placed order for 5 custom and stained doors 10/4. Received call 11/2 stating doors were ready & to confirm stain color. On 11/10 contacted Nicks to let them know I'd be out of country and to contact my contractor for pick up. I asked about status and was told the doors were still waiting to be stained and it could be another few weeks. On 11/23 received another call stating my stain preference was not on the order & could I confirm, again. Sent email immediately confirming. Upon my return to the U.S. contacted Nicks again on 12/7. At this point I was informed that all personnel I'd spoken with in stain department had been let go. The email I'd sent had gone unread & the doors were still not stained. Not once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience. I did inform them that their customer service leaves a lot to be desired and typically where reorganization is concerned this should be transparent to the customer. Still waiting for the doors, which have been shipped but never got stained. Sincerely, A dissatisfied customer

Excellent quality

The Door is beautiful and looks great. It arrived in a timely manner and was packaged very well. The door fits the jam perfectly. The only complaints I have are 1. The door has a port hole with Glass in it,at the bottom of the glass is stamped a rather obvious Nicks Building Supply logo etched into the glass which takes away from the classiness of the window. Also I am not a prude or prim and proper person but the T-Shirt Nick's sent with the door Stated "Well Hung". I am not a porn star and this is not something I would wear around my grand kids or in public. If the shirt had said "Nicks Doors" and something respectable I would have worn it in public. Great Product, excellent Craftsmanship, but not so much with everything. I would buy from them again.

Very happy with our three new doors (two interior barn doors and a knotty alder front door).

The door is beautiful and well made. It was worth it, but their 5 week estimate turned into almost 9 weeks, delaying our exterior remodel. Also, each time I called to check on the order they had a hard time estimating where it was in production.

The door was exactly how the picture looked online. It took a while for it to be made, but it was worth it. Amazing looking door.

Terrible customer service - people are rude and unresponsive. Manager Mike raised his voice and used foul language. Lady who answer phone had no clue. They spoke like I should be happy that my door was 3 weeks late. Will never buy here again.-I'm sure they don't care. They kept saying they get the majority of their business from Canada. Why do they bother doing business in US? Sad. You wonder why we fall behind in manufacturing to China? It's the poor entitlement attitude. Sad
