Never Again. So Burned.
I placed my order for additional trim materials on April 16, and it is now Sept. 4 and I am being told my material will not arrive until Sept. 17 after a guarantee of two-day shipping. Apparently Nicks forgot my order for several months after I ordered in April. Then, when I called to ask where my order was, they no longer had the varnish, and said they would send out a sample with the new varnish. It did not come, because Nicks had incorrectly addressed the sample, and blamed it on me--until I made them look at the returned package and notice that they themselves had left a line off the address. No apology, just another two-week wait for the sample to arrive (you would think they would express-mail it given their mistake). So we lost an additional month. On the day I received the sample, I emailed to approve the new varnish. That was August 6. Guess what? They forgot my order again. On August 24, I called to inquire. Uh, oops. I began to call daily. Seriously--my brother was here for a week and witnessed it all. And every day they still could not tell me my order had shipped. (Seriously folks, this is just some additional standard trim, but it matches what I already have, so I have no recourse.) I was promised my material would go out Friday, then Monday, then Wednesday--and finally was told I would get two-day shipping. When they finally sent shipping information this morning, it shows two-week shipping. FIVE MONTHS, FOLKS. I warn you away. And I haven't even begun to tell you about my previous order in which all the trim pieces were shipped while the varnish was not yet sufficiently dry so they arrived stuck together, and lost varnish when we tried to separate them. No offer to pay for refinishing or anything. I have only ordered more trim because I have no recourse if I want matching. I have requested that someone with authority in the company call me to talk and to offer some kind of financial recompense; we will see if they see their way to that. By the way, we are older executive-level professionals (not that that matters, but sometimes you wonder if the person writing the review is someone who is experienced and whom you can trust). Trust me. Run away.
