I want to comment on National Geographic 2019 Almanac. I cannot find a thread, specifically, for that so I am commenting under the magazine heading. First, the layout is real good. They don't get too deep with each of their subjects and provide a quick contents page every so many pages in the book. But they are liberal and it shows. I down loaded 14 pages of Trumps accomplishments in his first 2 years 6 months ago. This almanac did not even mention his name nor the first lady's. They mention Kim Jon Un but not a word about what has been accomplished with him and Trump at the summits they had. We got the remains of some of the missing in action back from the Korean war and north and south citizens were allowed to meet, etc. But Natgeo did find the space to mention it was Trump's doing. They did find space on page 313 to show a nice picture of the most unaccomplished first lady we have ever had, Michelle Obama. Under her photo it talked about her past in terms of meeting Obama, her education, jobs and what she did as first lady. They never mentioned how wildly unpopular her school nutrition program was. They did quote her as saying: "I wake up every morning in the White House that was built by slaves!" Nice remark that servers only to divide us.

I received the NG subscription in December 2018, as a Christmas present, very happy at that time. Since the beginning, I have received the February issue in late March. But that's OK I guess could happen. The same happened with the March issue. Again, it could happen... Later, starting in April 2019, I have not received any magazines. Starting searching on the web for similar problems, found out that’s a common practice. I have immediately contacted them (26 May 2019). They replied June 6, 2019, apologizing and extending my subscription for 2 months. I was finally starting to believe that I would read the June issue. Guess what? Today we are almost in July, and I have not received any magazine. In addition to their incompetence in managing the delivery service, I'm disappointed and frustrated by the amount of time spent chasing them to get what I paid for. I would not recommend anyone to sign up for this service in Ireland!

This must be a scam. I subscribed in Dec 2018 and I received the first 3 monthly copies late, and then nothing... How hard is it to send out a magazine in the post on time? Maybe they are sending out the unsold store copies to subscribers? This is what causes the delays? Anyway it's a waste of money to subscribe.

Truly abysmal. Do not subscribe. I subscribed in mid-November for a Christmas present for my wife. We did not receive an issue until late January. Moved house and it has taken them - so far - over 3 months to update my address. After communication by email and phone I've been given the run-around, including multiple different stories and excuses. If what I have been told is to be trusted, they have been 'upgrading their computer system' since February, 2019. I will be cancelling my subscription, of course, and urge you: do not make the same mistake I did. Buy physical copies if you like the pictures, but subscribe to something else.

I placed a subscription order in December 2018 through a third party agency but I had never received a magazine so I got in touch with National Geographic's customer service in February or March and I was told that I would start receiving magazines from April on. I received nothing in April. I got in touch with them again and they arranged for the latest issue to be delivered to me. One week after, I had not received any issue. I sent an email to their customer service asking whether I can cancel my subscription and get a full refund. They replied to me confirming my subscription had been cancelled and noting me that I would need to contact the third party agency.

I have a subscription with the precious rocks and minarals for 3 weeks now I have bean trying to get hold of some one for the answer the office is now closed and emails beaing rejected. Could some one please help me as what to do thanks.

Raised ten disputes and reported for fraudulently taking money to PayPal. Precious rocks, gems and minerals magazine by National Geographic Seems like the company who run this magazine are on a smash and grab for money. I too randomly had 4 payments taken in one month, well over £100, my husband the same as we had two subscriptions for our children. I rang and they said it was to bring me up to date and they’d be taking no more as it’s all sorted and the issues would be with me within the week. Seems like they needed the money last month as others seem to have had this issue. Two weeks later they take a fifth payment and still no issues from the other 4 they took only a few weeks ago. Claims in with PayPal and fully escalated. Never again will I touch anything branded by National Geographic or the DB Factory.

Subscribed to the rocks and minerals magazine, have been charged £27.96 4 times in one month! When i contacted them via email they said it was so i could be brought up to date with the most recent issues, which doesn't make sense as i am constantly paying £27.96 every month, so surely i now don't have to make another payment for 3 months? It would be a lot easier if i just buy the magazines from the shop when they are released, at least then i wont be paying £120 a month, then It takes about 3 months to even get any magazines. I thought subscribing to a magazine made it cheaper and more convenient. Am due a so called free microscope and large geode rock soon as i am a premium subscriber, but I'm guessing the 3 extra payments i have made this month pay for them gifts and are not actually free at all, and it will be a nice surprise if i even receive those gifts or if they have conveniently forgotten about them too! As soon as i have received my free gifts i am entitled to i will be cancelling my subscription, this is the first and last magazine i will ever be subscribing to, this has been absolutely awful!
