Read so many bad reviews, but from a personal experience all I can say is they are excellent. Subscribed a few years back (re done so every year since), never had any problems with receiving issues. Informative and educational, though I have noticed an occasional political slant - not too often - which doesn't need to be there. All-in-all, really, really, pleased.

I bought a magazine subscription for my dad back in May 2019 and I had him patiently wait for 4 weeks . It is now September and has not received a single Copy . All the emails I sent was responded with some non sense general replies that does not answer the questions of when he will get the magazines . I called numerous times only to be passed around . The supervisors were all extremely rude and doesn’t seem interested in resolving the issue . Again not one has attempted to look into the matter . I have just been getting different phone numbers or different emails to contact. I just learned that their customer service is handled by a third party and not National Geographic which explains the incompetence and inefficiency.

Honestly - I’ve never encountered anything like this. Have an annual print subscription, a few issues arrived, for the last half year, nothing. Have written three times and no response and in an act of frustration have written to the US parent company for assistance - one week later, no response. This doesn’t reflect on the magazine - which is of course excellent - but atrocious service. And all the time they are mail shotting me to resubscribe. It is a scam. Under no circumstances make a UK subscription.

I received the first 4 issues no problem.. I've been waiting for the next but didn't think much of it. I've just checked my bank account and I have been charged another 3 times and have not received anything. I've tried to email but the email address doesn't work. So very dissapointed. I want my money back, or I want what I've paid for.

Even after years of ending your subscription, even now and then, they take money from your account, assuming you will not notice. Please be mindful. I ended my subscription over a year ago and since they have taken £19 twice from my account. I have contacted then over and over again and they keep saying they cannot locate my payment. I sent proof from my bank and they never replied. I am now taking legal action purely because of morality not because of the £38. There are much more honest magazines out there, please be careful.

I bought my husband a subscription at Christmas, paid for 12 issues, they have never arrived. I did email them and was told I’d get a refund - never happened, we also received a letter after this apologising for the delay but he’ll get his first copy in April - never happened. Now they won’t answer my emails. I have left plenty of time for them to action each promise but, after 6 months - nothing! Disgusting from an organisation like this, took my money and gave me nothing - fraudsters!

Oh dear, so disappointed. Read these reviews just after I set up a subscription to precious rocks and gems at the beginning of June and hoped I wouldn’t experience the same problem as everyone else. But yes I’m still waiting to receive my first 3 issues. I’ve called 3 times and each time told the magazines will be with me by a certain date. They never do arrive. I was even told by someone in customer services that telling my postman/lady about my subscription could maybe improve my delivery?!! This was the final straw and have cancelled my subscription. So disappointed as my son was so looking forward to receiving them. He’s very interested in rocks and fossils so will have to look elsewhere. Really thought i could trust national Geographic.

I feel so upset after reading these reviews. My husband started a subscription about a month ago to precious rocks in Australia. The company that manages this is a joke. They take the money but don’t send any invoices and actually send damages goods. My kids are so upset that their hard earned has been wasted. Their email address does not work (surprise surprise) and when you speak to them they are either very aggressive or say the right things but fail to deliver. I will be taking action against both Vespa and National Geographic as they have clearly breached the law. Wish I had read the reviews before ever showing my kids these magazines! BEWARE!!
