They make it very difficult to cancel your account. They also call regularly to "review" your account and then quietly tell you about all the services you have. But unless you ask they don't tell you if those services are a sneaky way to sign you up for a more expensive plan. Have to be very explicit that you do not authorize any changes to the account. And be ready to spend alot of time on the phone trying to cancel. Definitely not elderly friendly - make sure someone else is handling it for you.

Before you do business with this company, do yourself a favor and review their Better Business Bureau profile. There is a reason why they have received 215 BBB complaints over the past 3 years and 66 BBB complaints over just the past 12 months. This is a predatory company that preys on the elderly. After I had a horrible experience with them trying to recover my 97-year-old WWII veteran father’s $728 paid for an alert watch that never worked (and having them return only $610, but only after I filed a BBB complaint) I found a medical alert company in Westchester, NY that is a pleasure to deal with and has had virtually no BBB complaints. Caveat emptor, LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!

I spoke with a Kevin in sales. He was relentless ( almost stalking me multiple times a day with phone calls) for weeks. He quoted me a price for my Dad. I told him exactly what my Dad needed. All my father had to do was give him payment over the phone. Kevin went over me and charged him an additional $100.00. Prior to the payment I could call Kevin directly and get right to him. Immediately after payment that exact phone number I had been calling him on for weeks was not to him any longer. I got someone in customer service not sales and was told they are not allowed to transfer to anyone in sales after payment even if the sales person made a mistake. I made the mistake of reading reviews on their website which are most likely scam reviews. Very disappointed so far in this company and my dad hasn’t even received the equipment yet.

fraudulent company. impossible to cancel. bills you before you can even set up the device. i've tried so many times to cancel. DO NOT USE.

I wish these reviews came up when googling the company. When you end the service you will be on hold for at least 10minutes. You select return so they know. they will charge you until they receive the equipment even after you cancel. Though they could deactivate it. They will make you pay shopping for returning the equipment. So if you have a loved one that cannot return it themselves and there is any delay in getting it back, it will cost you. Also during your long hold they will talk about how they don’t have hidden fees.

Medical guardian does NOT deserve one star! They are crooks,scammers!! I trued one first one did not work either did second one. I fell was unconscious in a coma 2 months laid on floor 5 or 6 days spent 5 months in the hospital!!! Fall alert is 10.00 extra scam it does not work you Fall and are not alert to press for help even try to have it waist heigh drop it it will not get you help! I was told it would be 44.00 a month equipment free they charged me 144.00!!!

Can't get them to pick up the phone. They use ATT which cancels conservative broadcasters.

Worst customer service ever. I ordered took several weeks to come. I called to see where it was they said it had been delivered. I said no we did not receive. They said going to expedite one overnight. 3 days later I went to my bottom gates there I found the pkg. This is on a different street as we are on a corner on acreage. We rarely use these gates. I Called guardian to put a stop to the second one which was still in progress (not overnighted as indicated) and to start this one. I opened the pkg with customer service on the line the first problem was missing paperwork that was to be signed and returned. Then could not get the unit to connect the call in a test. He then said he was going to contact ATT the carrier they use for me to stay on online. 30 min. Later now a hour since placing call a new person came on online wanting to know how she could help us. I asked where the guy was we had been talking to she had no idea. Did not even know we had talked to anyone and was a bit snotty. At this point I asked to cancel she finally transferred us but no one ever came on the line, I hung up called in again to cancel took about 15 min. For someone to answer they were also snippy. He said soon as they received the unit back they would refund us and cancel the order, I said I want it e-mailed he said someone else does that so I said can you mail and email oh no he relied we can only mail or email. Low & behold their was a shipping label in the box he had no clue. I would not intrusive this Company with anyone’s life. Wish I could give 0 stars I spent 1 1/2 hours with them today it was a nightmare.
