I left my phone number to get some discount but never asked for a call. They called about 4 times. I finally answered today and the salesperson got so riled up when I said, very calmly: 'I didn't ask for a call. If I want information I will ask. I find this an aggressive approach.' It's clear he has heard this before because he launched in to a tirade, aggressively arguing that he wasn't aggressive! Yeah, that makes sense. It was laughable - but also appalling. If they are being so argumentative in the very first call - just imagine how they might be after you've signed up! And imagine an older vulnerable person having to deal with that?

Terrible service, auto-billing won't turn off, when you try to cancel sub they badger you to keep the gadget, very difficult to reach an agent, hold time >1hr. Avoid!

Scam! Will not stop billing even though cancelled. First time I called all that was done was remove auto pay. Now receiving bills for device that does not exist anymore

Terrible experience with Medical Guardian!! Their unethical business practices treat Seniors and Veterans with contempt and disrespect! No cancellation fees? What a lie. I was charged a thirty percent fee after returning their product In excellent condition!

So many obstacles to quit this service. A manager was supposed to call. They blew me off. Charged for back months when they had notes we intended to end our service. Dropped from calls with the cancellation department or left on hold too long.

This company is a scam! In the less than 6 months than we had the equipment, my grandfather fell 6x and not once did the device alert anyone of the fall. We had to switch out the equipment 2x in the 6 months, because of "faulty" equipment after we called and tested epuipment once we learned of his falls. Fortunately, he began carrying his cell phone around so he could call for help on his own because obviously the Medical Gaurdian did not provide him with peace of mind. Additionally, the way the medical device was marketed and sold to the family was not how it operated and customer service representatives were less than helpful. This device does not work as advertised and is a waste of money!!

So my mom had this and we’ve been automatically paying 40. Per month. In February I got a call from their billing department saying their vendor closed their doors in August and asked for payment again! I told them we had paid and they kept billing us. Then I checked their service and the box phone number was disconnected. I found a number and got an address to send it back. Now 4 months later they are harassing my mother for 390. for the box we sent back. They want us to pay all this money for service we never got. We are now with ADT it’s cheaper and works! Beware of Medical Guardian!

Horrible company. They are in the top 10 on many medical alert lists, advertised in AARP etc, which gives you a false sense that they are good. Paid for system for a year and installed in near the end of March this year. The FIRST time we really needed it (was for my elderly father) it FAILED!! My Dad lay on the floor for several hours with a fracture from his knee to hip (15 separate places) that required major surgery. When I was on phone with technical person from company..it was discovered that the system had needed to be reset. The Reset button had been pushed multiple times after the failure when we were trying to figure out what was wrong with it ourselves. I was told by their technician "Oh, we don't like the reset button, it doesn't work half the time" I was told to reset system by turning it on and off with switch on bottom of base unit. I asked her if anywhere in the instructions it mentioned to do that if the reset button didn't work ? She said "no it doesn't, we've had complaints about that before and they should change that " How disgusting !!! Also..there is a red button that should light up on base unit to signal that something with the system is not working correctly. That NEVER lit up. So I suppose we were supposed to be mind readers in that case. Anyway..upon complaining..a manager named Jessica was supposed to call me back. She did so and left me a message to call her back. I tried several times to reach her but was always told "she isn't available" I never heard from her so she obviously didn't care enough to try calling me back. Disgusting company..please don't use it for your loved one! I will tell my story to everyone I know and try to warn people. I realise it is not their fault that my Dad fell. However, it IS their fault that my Dad had to lay there in pain before being discovered by my sister. We will never know for sure if the damage was made worse by him wriggling around on the floor trying to get to his phone when his wrist watch to call for help didn't work. *** just wanted to add that I did email the company after their response to this review. That response was obviously BS intended to make them look good..I never heard back from them after I emailed! Pay a bit more and find a more reputable company!
