I bought several big purchases from McGee and co totaling close to 30,000 in furniture and rugs over the last year. I purchased the Hale sofa in the stain resistant high performance crypton Fabric color, twine. It arrived March 30th it is now August and the ENTIRE seat cushion is DINGY and WORN looking after just 4 1/2 months of light use. We do not eat in our family we have no pets on our furniture and we do not even wear shoes in the house. I picked this fabric for its stain resistance and durability they list on they’re site. I have tried to clean the seat and the discoloration does not come off. The quality of the fabric is horrible it appears it has just picked up color from clothing? The color I picked is lighter choice kind of a light khaki it is not white or even cream. When I reached out to McGee and co their response was that it was normal wear and tear for lighter fabrics and sorry for any inconvenience. A 6000$ couch that is ruined after 4 1/2 months of light uses is not an inconvenience it is a rip off. I would not buy anything else from them. I am truly hoping they decide to rectify this issue for me as I’m still trying to get them to correct this. I would not buy any furniture from them if their performance fabric can be ruined in 5 months their other fabrics will probably not last either. BUYER BEWARE. DON’T waste your MONEY. I will update my review if they fix my quality issue. I would post the pictures if there was a way to. Update- 9/8/2022 McGee and co reached out to me and I received a refund/discount of 15% of my purchase price. The customer service team was nice and prompt. I will put the money towards having the sofa cleaned 2-3 times a year. I am hopeful a professional cleaner will be able to remove the discoloration. If not I still spent 5000$ on a sofa that looks dirty after 4 months of use.

It took 17 months for this company to fulfill my order (with a lot of difficulty). How disappointing and exhausting! I ordered two pricey matching wood chests for my bedroom. The quality is not as good as Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware, but the prices are higher than those companies for similar items. One chest arrived damaged in a few areas, and it took McGee & Co. several months to replace it. However, when the replacement came, it was a lot smaller than the other one. Apparently, the company who supplied the chests to Mcgee & Co. stopped making the larger size, leaving me with mismatched chests. So, I explained the problem (they were unaware), and I agreed to have the larger one replaced and accept a refund to make up for the size difference, but it then took a year to get the replacement for the smaller chest. The larger chest was supposed to be picked up and returned to them, but the deliverers hadn't been notified by McGee & Co. and wouldn't take it even after I insisted. So then a month later, McGee & Co. started badgering me to set up a date for them to pick up the chest which should have already been picked up. They asked me questions like how many stairs I have, if lifting equipment is needed, etc. etc. What a circus! McGee & Co. don't seem to know if they are coming or going, and the communication was atrocious throughout. The product is not worth this headache. Buyer Beware!!

TERRIBLE company!!! Even more terrible products… Seriously… None of the items I purchased were the color as written in the descriptions, or the same color as the photos! Rugs were yellow in tone rather than beige, and my coffee table was yellow… Instead of the white oak color as described and shown in the photos and written descriptions! And… They will not except returns… They acted like they were hearing me out, and then told me that they had a policy about returns that I could not find anywhere on their website. I seriously scoured the website before I even tried to make the return to see if I was outside of any policy, and there was absolutely nothing written anywhere that would have prohibited me from returning these things. Please… Stay away from this company! If you buy anything, go through Target, which will be a lot less expensive, probably better quality, and Target accepts all returns. This company is a total and complete sham! I don’t know how they are still in business.

I have been an interior designer for 12 years . I ordered one counter stool before ordering all 6 for a client to make sure the color in real life worked. The color didn’t look like the photos posted and the chair looked cheap. I emailed same day as delivery to please return the item to be told all their furniture is final sale. This is beyond for a e commerce site to not return non custom items within 24 hours of receiving it . I would never ever order from them again that’s absolutely obscene and I don’t know another furniture company who doesn’t return non sale items, I get the restocking fee but final sale is sneaky and unethical. The stool color looks off from the photos and poor quality and now I’m stuck with it . I would never order again and from their reviews it’s clear I’m not alone I have yet to read a positive review of their company. I will plan on being very vocal to other designers to also not use them or trust the “final sale” idiocy.

How is this company still in business. I ordered four chairs that cost over 2000 dollars each. There was a shipping fee and a 200 dollar “handling fee” per chair. The website said 10-18 weeks for “custom” items. I received three emails that my order was being processed , hang tight and to check the website for delays 🤬. No! You should send me updates. Then a week before my vacation I received an email that “ some “ of my items have shipped. What do you mean some, I ordered the same 4 chairs. There was a tracking number with DHL. Well for the week before I left, the tracking number never tracked the items. I was away and thankfully I had a dog watcher cause the delivery showed up. They told me that they were instructed to leave the items in the porch and no way to check if the items are damaged. What😳. If no one was home they would have left all four chairs on my porch. The delivery guy put the boxes in my garage as a favor (with the wooden crate) . Well suffice to say, three of the chairs were severely damaged. And the haven’t picked up the chairs yet. I will never order from McGee and Co or buy their target brand stuff again. Such a cheap product and awful delivery at an extremely expensive rate. I won’t even watch your show. You should be ashamed.

I am still waiting for a picture I ordered (and paid for) in January. The expected ship date was 3-4 weeks. In February I was told it was delayed until March 22. One day before it was due to ship I was told it was delayed until June 22. On June 21 I was told it would be July 22. Now, two days before it was due to ship- I received another email stating a new ship date of September 2. Beyond frustrating! They should not accept payment until items ship. Questionable practices:/

In addition to paying way more than I should’ve for shipping and handling. The shipping company leaves these massive wooden crates in my driveway that the boxes were on. When I called the shipping company they said “no we don’t take those back” so studio McGee just assumes the customer has to deal with these barely movable crates. I’ve paid so much money already for shipping and handling and now I have to figure out a way to get rid of these massive crates? Never ever ever order real furniture from them. Also they’re sneaky about hiding the fact that all furniture sales are final! Beware! The most expensive mistake I’ve ever made ordering from them!

I ordered the Scarlett pendant in beige and received the wrong color. Customer service was good about responding, but it’s been a month since my original order and I still have not received my replacement. They are quick to act upon receiving their items back, but not so much when it comes to sending out their products to customers that they’ve inconvenienced. I really wish they had a better system in place.
