IF there was the option for Negative Stars I would have selected that option. Opened and on-line account to FUND a CD. Account was opened fine and I received the normal barrage of spam form them. Five days later I still cannot DEPOSIT money to FUND the CD. Closed the account which was easy. The agent gave me the impression it was a common occurrence. TOTAL waste of time.

I found customer service to be a positive experience. I had questions concerning my CD. Gary was very helpful and patient in answering our inquiries.

I deposited funds into my Marcus savings by transfer from a local bank. Two weeks later, I attempted to transfer the funds back to a local bank account. Marcus withdrew the funds from my account but denied the request to transfer claiming it is "fast movement of funds," yet the funds were not returned to my account for four days! The agent(s) could not tell me when the funds would be available to transfer. In essence I do not have access to my balance. This comes on the heels of having opened two CDs at Marcus, the first of which took about two hours to complete the transaction; the second took about four hours. It was a comedy of bouncing my attempt into a circle of sending my case to another dept, only to be asked the same questions that the previous two depts had asked. There were about four circles of three depts involved. Once my CDs mature, I will transfer all funds to another bank.

I closed out 2 Cd's at Marcus July `16, 2026. Here is the why? I really wanted to renew the CD's for different terms and interest rates. That was until I tried logging onto my Marcus account. I was locked out over and over and over. That included Marcus didn't recognize my S.S., birthday etc when tried to reset a pasword. I spoke to at least 6 Marcus reps that day and spent at least 3 hours on the phone. Not until the early evening hours did I finally get lucky to access my account one time. I wasted no time to transfer my money to another bank. I rue the day I opened an account with Marcus. Worst bank I have ever run into.

INVESTOR BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! I opened a 14-month high-yield CD with Marcus by Goldman Sachs and set everything up in advance to transfer the funds to my personal bank when the CD matured. Now that the CD has matured, getting my money transferred out has been an absolute disaster. I spent approximately four hours on the phone with Marcus by Goldman Sachs yesterday and still cannot get my money transferred to my personal bank account. I was ultimately told that I have to call back in three to five days, at which point they might be able to issue me a check and mail it to me. They had absolutely no problem accepting and holding my money, but trying to access my funds after the CD matured has been an incredibly frustrating experience. Based on my experience, this is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I would not invest my money with Marcus by Goldman Sachs again. My advice to anyone considering them is to look elsewhere. Getting access to your own money should not be this difficult.

Do not trust Marcus by Goldman Sachs with time-sensitive funds or life savings. I am currently facing an immediate breach of contract on a home purchase and the potential loss of my earnest money deposit due entirely to their catastrophic internal system failures and refusal to escalate support. Last week, I requested a legitimate wire transfer from my Certificate of Deposit (CD) to my bank account, ultimately to fund a real estate escrow account. Marcus botched three consecutive wire attempts due to internal routing errors, which then automatically and erroneously closed my account entirely. On Monday, a phone supervisor claimed the account was reopened and a new wire was sent. Today, that wire bounced due to "insufficient funds"—a direct result of their previous account closure glitches. Now, frontline customer service and supervisors state my life savings are trapped in a "corporate holding account processing queue" to eventually mail a physical check. They are actively refusing to escalate my calls to the Executive Office, refusing to provide a tracking number, and refusing to give an exact delivery timeline. Marcus is effectively holding my funds hostage in a corporate pool, ignoring the high-stakes timeline of a legal real estate transaction. I have filed formal emergency complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Federal Reserve Board. If anyone from executive escalations monitors these reviews, contact me immediately. This is an absolute operational nightmare.

Marcus reneged on their promotional offer. I opened a new account and funded it with $100,000, following the specific instructions in a promotional email promising a $1,500 bonus after 90 days. Despite fulfilling these requirements and maintaining the necessary balance, the bonus was never deposited into my account.

Not good. Incredibly difficult to get your money. They hold it hostage. LONG (as long as an hour!) wait times for customer service. Hour and a half phone calls that leave you with unfinished business still. I’ll never put $ in this bank again.
