I opened an account with Marcus by Goldman Sachs using a link to specifically get their $1,500 promotion. I followed up 6 months later to inquire about promo not added to my account. When I called I was told I didn’t apply for it separately. I used the link thinking I was specifically applying for the promo. Now they will not honor the promo. I was definitely misled with their ad and link!!!!

The cd rates are very good! I have 2 cd's with them, but opening an account here or even adding one is difficult. It shouldn't take half an hour to open an account online, especially as an existing customer.

NC residents please know that Marcus will not accept Letters of Testamentary from the NC probate court. In NC the statutes allow probate courts to use electronic signatures. Marcus will only accept an ink signature, which the probate court may not provide. I live in NC so I'm closing all my Marcus accounts.

Be aware that Marcus Cash ISAs are non flexible so if you move money out during tax year you cannot put it back in later in the tax year. I've just been caught out by this and I don't think Marcus make this at all clear on their website until you try to put the money back.

Not good. Incredibly difficult to get your money. They hold it hostage. LONG (as long as an hour!) wait times for customer service. Hour and a half phone calls that leave you with unfinished business still. I’ll never put $ in this bank again.

While their app is fine, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Support ranges from incompetent to outright rude, but the biggest issue is the long delays before funds become available for transfer. I wouldn't recommend them unless you're only signing up for the bonus.

I had a CD with Marcus for a year and they always mailed my interest directly to my account transferred it perfectly no problems. The biggest problem I had is when the CD matured and I logged into my account both online and through the app my account had completely disappeared. There was no zero balance and a transaction history I'm talking about the entire account disappeared. Which means from the amount time the CD was closed to several days later when my bank received the money there is absolutely no trail of where that money went. Never heard of such an absurd thing. That will prohibit me from ever investing with them again.

Their newest and much hyped Promotional Bonus program has terms in the fine print that are so complicated and convoluted, that their own reps don’t fully understand! After having read the terms, I still had to call Marcus for clarification. I spoke to THREE different representatives AND a supervisor, I was told that the funds I just deposited qualified me for the top bonus. However, when I questioned why my online account didn’t reflect the correct bonus, I was told by a Customer Service Specialist that despite the fact that three reps and a supervisor gave me incorrect information, they would not budge on their stance that I did, in fact, not qualify. The reps are the voice of this bank and as such, Marcus should take responsibility and grant me what I was promised. They refused. That is pretty poor customer service (not to mention a reflection of the improper training their reps receive). I’ll be moving my funds out asap.
