I've never had any issues with Marcus. My money withdraws quickly and easily every time and it is easy to open a new account with them. I recommend banking with Marcus.

I had a simple issue regarding a cd I set up on the day I set it up. I chatted online with 2 different reps with no help. I was told I would receive a call back from a different department that could help me within 2 hours. I was told this be both reps hours apart. It's now been 24hrs and no call back. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was told it would be 48 hrs or so. I've been with Marcus for years but am slowly moving my money due to the poor customer service.

I had a cd to renew and I renewed it with Marcus but put in for a withdraw on it. They lost 57 k of my money with no explanation other than a technical issue. That was on June 26 th it’s now July 10 th and I’ve called like 8- times. They never reach out to me. Then they make me hold for 30- minutes only to tell me they would work on it as soon as they could. No compassion no remorse , as they could care less. I filed 1- complaint with goverment agency but to date I’m out 57 k with zero dams giving. Strongly recommend pulling your money as I’m doing the same. It’s absolutely pathetic to be polite.

Their failure to send an email to renew my password is unacceptable. I’ve tried multiple times on separate days. This same thing happened years ago. They need to fix this.

I used the referral bonus link to open a savings account for an elderly relative after opening mine for the $1500 bonus if 100K remained on deposit for 3 months. He did not get the $1500 bonus following the same approach. Marcus claims I didn't set the account up properly (using correct links, promo codes, etc.) Thing is, I didn't use any special links or promo codes when setting my account up and it paid the $1500 bonus. When using the referral link, you'd think the $1500 promo would somehow be applied or attached since that was the whole reason for opening the account. Apparently this is not the only instance with numerous reports of this happening when doing a search of reviews. Buyer beware. You can be sure I and many others will never do business again with Marcus Bank.

I would like to commend Lorraine from the Marcus Bank team for the outstanding service she provided this morning. Lorraine is a real credit to Marcus Bank. Nothing was too much trouble, and she took the time to explain everything clearly while providing excellent advice about their one-year Fixed Rate Account. I had only recently opened a one-year fixed account at 4.6%, but as the rate had increased to 4.9%, Lorraine arranged for my original account to be closed and guided me through opening the new account with the higher interest rate. Her professionalism, efficiency, and customer-focused approach made the whole process straightforward and stress-free. Overall, it was a genuinely pleasant experience. I have been a Marcus Bank customer for many years and cannot praise them highly enough. Their customer service is consistently excellent, and telephone calls are always answered promptly. I would not hesitate to recommend Marcus Bank to others.

They sent out a big promotion but apparently you needed to do some hard to find step. Customer service basically said I didn't do the step 3 months ago so no bonus. Add that to very severe early termination rates on CDs and it makes for a very annoying site. They have good rates but the hassle is not worth it.

I signed up for a new high-yield savings account in January with Marcus when I read their promotional ad that if I deposited $50,000 in a newly opened savings account and left it in the account for 90 days, I would receive a cash bonus of $750..... I did everything that was asked and even added ANOTHER $53,000 during the course of the 90-day period (when one of my CDs matured), and I still received NOTHING after the 90-day period !!! I chatted with two representatives to ask why I hadn't received the bonus yet, and they both stated that when I opened the account, I should have "pushed the button" that stated I was interested in the promotion......EXTREMELY MISLEADING AS I NEVER SAW ANYTHING WHEN I SIGNED UP FOR THE SAVINGS ACCOUNT !!! Shame on you Marcus!!!!!,,,,,,I should sue you for fraudulent and misleading promo offers!!!! I had recently provided your information to my sister to have her open an account as well, and I just told her of what a SCAM Marcus is doing to their customers !!! I have two CDs AND a high-yield savings account with Marcus, and they will BOTH be promptly closed and I will NEVER USE MARCUS AGAIN !!!!! Unbelievable !!!!!!! DO NOT TRUST MARCUS WITH ANY OF YOUR FUNDS !!!!!!!
