Be very careful when it comes time for renewal. I've had 2 CDs with them, 9 month ones, for more than 2 years...all of a sudden I got switched, at maturity to a 12 month one for the worst APY they have. Also, their website is not good. Very difficult , if not impossible to find previous CDs you've had with maturity rates. They're ok, but that's it. Looking elsewhere

Company admits they reduce your interest rate based on how much you have in there basicly. I had 3.40 for longest time... after i deposited over 40,000, they dropped me down to 3.34... I have deposited other money from my checking account is smaller numbers like 2,000 to 4,000 and over the span of time using Marcus high yield savings, they actually punish you and reduce your interest rate so they can borrow more against it while lowering your ability to gain good funds. The APY also dropped from 3.50 to 3.40. Then they had the audacity to suggest i invite more people to gain some minor kick back through their referral program after freshly expressing this pattern i've seen. I even screen-shooted the conversation but don't see an upload option on this site.

The website and app looks nice, but one would think with their name, it would over a better Interest Rate and APY than it does compared to other banks. For instance, Newtek Bank, Primis Bank and even Lending Club offers a much better interest rate than Macrus by Goldman Sachs does. With such a trusted name, gives so little to the people who save money with them .

They give a pretty good rate of return, but their customer service is virtually non-existent. I asked to speak to someone about a problem with the online history of my account, and their robot said someone would call me, but that was the end of it. You can interact with their website, or talk to a robot. That's it.
