Our parents used LifeStation in their homes. Things worked exactly as they were supposed to when the alert button was pushed. The emergency workers arrived in a timely manner, and LifeStation let us know that our parents had pushed the button. Having LifeStation is not a replacement for checking in on older folks, but it gives definite peace of mind when your parents are home alone.

As with any device, it's only as good as it's human operator. In this regard, any medical alert device is problematic due to many user's impairments. That was the case here, an elderly mother who wouldn't wear the Lifestation pendant or wristband. There also comes a point when the user may be to impaired to even use the LS triggers. The LifeStation return process is a challenge due to the fact that there is absolutely NO followup for end of service. They fight returns, keeping customers in the dark on final payments and return receipt.

Update: James from customer service was very helpful and was able to address our issue. Thank you Hello, I did not purchase a life station. You sent my mom a new one because the old one stoped charging itself. I am planing on canceling the service once I have time to find a new company because of my last call to you for support. With the new machine they sent a new bracelet. The bracelet is to large for my 78 year old mother and it's velcro unlike the watch style rubber one she had. She has paper thin skin and cannot where the necklace or anything abrasive. I asks if we could program the machine to use the original watch she had or get a more comfortable size appropriate watch for her. The gentleman I spoke to said there is nothing you can do to resolve this issue. Didn't offer any support or sympathy towards the issue. I have paid for this every month now for at least two years. Everything was fine until this lack of service. -Warren

Life Station provided a sense of security. Wen entering a challenging area, I knew I was a click away from assistance. Unfortunately, I would noy use the service. Living alone would guarantee a trip to a nurseing home. If I was admitted to hospital, the time frame for remaining in hospital would end, the hospital would ship me to a nurseing home because of my loneness.

seems to be a sufficient system however needs a speaker system for the shower that a person can talk to someone if needed after they push the alert button.

Never had to use it. They provide what they promised with checkins.

I can only give 4 stars because we never experienced an emergency to be able to comment on that response. However, everything else about the product and company were 5 star. From set up, cost, and handling mistaken falls (tossing the pendent on a bed) we were very pleased. The only issue our parents had was the pendent cord stayed wet for a long time after a shower, so we switched it to a chain.

I am very happy with Life Station. I purchased it for my Mom, who is 90 yrs old. Although she has not needed to utilize the services, it gives me peace of mind to know the company is there when she needs help.
