My mother-in-law has had to use LifeStation a couple of times now. Both times someone from LifeStation quickly answered the alert and took care of business.
It's one of the main reasons she can stay in her home alone.

Thank you very much for the review John!
Many of our users live at home alone, which is why having something like this that can provide peace and mind for your family is so important.
Thank you for choosing LifeStation!

We have had issues with being notified…
We have had issues with being notified when our mother's pendant went off. After the last incident (where help was dispatched needlessly), I again called LifeStation and reiterated our directions on who to call. There are three of us contacts. They tried to call the first two who were not available. I WAS available, but I was NOT called. The lady I talked with was "unsure" whether LifeStation could follow our directions. I then told her to put in her notes that if another incident happened where the appropriate contacts were not called, that we would find a new provider. It seems to me that it is NOT that difficult to follow our directions. After all, that is what we are paying for...peace of mind.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review Cheryl.
The process is supposed to be that all the contacts are called, so if this did not happen that the process was not completed properly and i apologize for that mistake.
I was able to pull up your account information and it does state to only call emergency response after the entire list was called.
There should be no issues in calling these 3 names before calling ER, so clearly something went wrong in the process.
We will make sure to speak to customer service about this to make sure that the proper information is listed on the account so our monitoring specialists can properly follow the procedure that you have listed for them.
Thank you for choosing LifeStation, and again i apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Horrible Customer Service
This company is impossible to get information from. There is no online support, no monthly statements and when I called to find out what coverage my mother had, they were unable to tell me what was covered. Basically there is nothing available in writing for you to see what you are paying for.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review G.
While it is true that at the moment we have no online support, our customer service team is always available to help you with whatever information you need from your account. When you call our customer service line at (800) 998-2400, and you provide your Order Number or other essential information, the representative should be able to easily identify your account and provide you with any information you need.
Now i do not know what you mean when you say what type of coverage your mother had, but if you mean what type of device she had (in-home, mobile, gps, etc) customer service should be able to help you with this as well when you call.

No one cares at LifeStation
No one cares at LifeStation! Don't believe everything you read. A week ago I order the GPS pendant for my mom because we had another bad experience with another provider. I asked when we would receive the pendant and was told Monday. Nothing on Monday or Tuesday. I asked to speak to a supervisor, to date NO ONE has called me. The person on the phone told me we had to wait 5 days for the check to clear. The check cleared and I provided a credit card so she could receive on Wednesday. As of today we STILL DO NOT have the pendant. The supervisor hasn't called me and no one in customer service can help me. Stay away from this company, they don't care!!!

I am to happy with this company at all…
I am to happy with this company at all and would strongly advise not using them. Their equipment requires almost a dedicated electrical source or it reverts to battery and then the battery wears out. Their customer service is not helpful at all. We continued to be charged even when they were aware that the equipment was not working for our elderly parents.

I am sorry to hear about your situation but i believe we can resolve this issue.
The battery in the device should last for at least a day, so if the battery is running out of power before then it was either charged incorrectly or there is a problem with the device. Either way i would encourage you to call our customer service team so they can walk you through charging the device, or if the device is broken, so they can help you get a replacement sent to you.
Our customer service team prides itself on being extremely polite and cooperative with our users, so if you had a bad experience with our team i apologize for that but i can be sure that this was an isolated incident.
When you call our 24/7 customer service line at 800-998-2400 please be sure to explain the situation as best as possible so our customer service representative can make sure your issue is dealt with appropriately.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review Sue, and thank you for choosing LifeStation.

Reliable
Reliable. We have had way too many false alarms. However, the staff calls in a relatively short time and are very courteous and understanding. We have only had one "emergency". The EMT's were summoned promptly and we had attention in a timely manner.
So far, it works splendidly!
Response from LifeStationSep 18, 2018
Thank you for taking the time to write a review William.
False alarms happen very often when you wear the device all the time, and as such we make sure to be as understanding as possible whenever someone presses their button, whether it is an emergency or not.

Please work on miniaturization and charging per cent.
I am pleased that I have immediate contact with your office. All responders have been very pleasant. My calls have so far been mistakes or calls to check to see if it worked in other locations.
There are several things that could be improved. The unit is way too heavy to wear around one's neck all day. I keep mine in my pocket as it is important to my daughter that I have it with me all day. When placing it in the charger it must be lowered directly. If it slides down in, the tiny connectors in the charger can be dislodged and they will not connect to charge. Lastly, there is no way to know how much of a charge the unit has. It does charge fairly quickly but my only clue to it being charged is the red light. In this day and age of miniaturization and electronic improvements, it seems to me that these problems could be solved easily.

About the weight of the necklace, this is a complaint that we, and others in our industry as well, have received for some time now. Unfortunately the technology that is present in the device is at the moment unable to made any lighter, so for this reason we are unable to make the devices a more suitable weight for you. The best that we can do is change the material that is attached to the device to make it as comfortable as possible.
The issue with the charger is something that is also very common in our industry, but it is something that is being actively worked on and should hopefully be resolved soon. You are not the first to worry about how particular the charging unit is at times, and we are working on a solution for that.
The final issue about knowing when the charging is done is also something that at this time is unable to be worked on. I would assume that having a percentage of how full the battery is would be very helpful, but the technology needed for that is either unavailable, unable to be small enough to fit in the device, or would make the device far heavier than it already is.
Either way know that these are issues that we are aware of, and that we are trying to resolve in order to give our users the best experience possible.
