This is the worst service ever. You will need therapy from trying to get therapy from Lifestance. They are buying up practices like crazy, but have done ZERO work to integrate providers into a working system. I've been ghosted, canceled and rescheduled a dozen times. I've been registered with them for 2 months and I've had 6 intake appointments that lead nowhere.

Charges 550 for phone consultation Won't warn u when you call. 350 was for office visit when you don't go to office. These are ghouls who prey on mentally ill. Go to hims.com. I did (not associated w hims.com) go to that they charge 150.00 for 3 months. You be charged 1500 for 3 months w lifestance. HP

Absolutely terrible. Cannot recommend. I tried to get therapy services for my daughter, and finally got an intake appointment on video therapy with a therapist in Anaheim, CA. (We're in Northern California. But is all teletherapy, so, all good, right?) After the intake, it took 3 to 4 weeks for me to get anything out of them. Repeated phone calls and messages went answered. Finally, I got somebody on the phone that the therapist who did the intake doesn't have any slots - NOBODY called me to tell me that. And I'd have to start over, find a new therapist, do a new intake, etc. So I did that, found another therapist. Did another intake session with my daughter. At the end of that session, we agreed to schedule the first follow-up for one week later. Done! But not quite. Come the appointment time 1 week later, sign-in to the portal and no therapist. Call the office, wait online forever, finally get someone on the phone who checks and confirms - the therapist never booked the appointment (!) The office person suggested I directly message the therapist through the portal - but I can't, because the only therapist that comes up for me is the one from Anaheim that wasted our time previously. STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO AVOID LIFESTANCE

I was on a waiting list for a while, and they finally got me an appointment. The therapist was nice but straight out told me she doesnt give coping skills (I have anxiety) and later told me I was a grown up and shouldn’t have a close relationship with my father and should rely on myself. What the heck? So I got a different provider who was a no show for our first telehealth appointment and Lifestance told me it was supposed to be in person but I was never told that or even where the provider was located. They also told me it’s up to the provider whether to charge me for the appointment I was logged in on time for and waited over half an hour that never happened. Guess I’ll be looking for another provider again but not with Lifestance again. Also calling them is a nightmare with long hold times.

The phone system is not a good one. Every time I call the office, no one answers the phone. I have two doctors with this organization and it doesn't please me when I have an emergency, I can't call the office to set up an appointment. This is not a good. This office needs phone representatives at all times.

Waited 3 months for an appointment…. My provider no called no showed me, then was informed it would be another 2 months before another appointment was available. (Mind you it was a telehealth…) With a different provider. And as i was rescheduling they tried to get my credit card information. Ha. After already waiting 3 months, I’m going to have to wait 5 months total to receive help? All because my provider called off on the day im supposed to start, and am excited to start getting help and turn my life around? Ridiculous. I’m hesitant to believe these people care about actually helping patients with their mental health. I am in need of serious help and my time is being wasted. And based off all these other reviews, yours probably is too.

Lifestance bought the practice we had been attending for years. The more than doubled the prices and the billing is a nightmare. I am going through a difficult time, but have been able to transition most of the family to another practice. Lifestance corporate doesn't respond and the people at my local practice are stuck with corporate policy.

I was a patient at Lifestance and because of my horrible, horrible experiences with billing and their general administrative systems, I am making it my life's mission to encourage other people to avoid working with this outfit. The main problem is their billing department: through a variety of errors, they end up billing you for money you do not owe, and then it is impossible to work with them to fix this. Messages on their crummy online portal go unanswered. Forget about getting through via their phone system (last time I tried, the menu prompt "press 2 for billing" simply made it loop into repeating the same menu prompt over and over again - you cannot even get to the "being put on hold for an hour" state). I was so fed up I canceled my appointment with my wonderful provider (who has privately apologized to me and acknowledged other patients have complained to her of this). But guess what, there is no cancel option on their website, you cannot reach them by phone, and so I had to write my provider a message asking them to cancel the appointment. And their system erroneously says I still owe hundreds of dollars which I am afraid will affect my credit rating or be sent to a collection agency (in the past, they correctly billed my insurance and the insurance paid 100%, as it should be - now they either forget to bill my insurance or bill my insurance and then still bill me). Just a horrible, horrible company.
