Christopher Sobecki at the Columbus Easton office - He is both a terrible provider and a person. He doesn't believe anything that you say. Even when I gave records and diagnosis from previous providers, he still refused to prescribe me those and gave no reason. He ignored and dodged me every time I questioned his logic. He is uncompassionate, assuming, and mocking. He does not listen nor remembered anything that I tell/told him. He doesn't treat you as a human, he looks at you like a checklist and asks questions like a robot, he doesn't show any care and doesn't follow the proper guidelines when prescribing medication. I complained several times to Lifestance and they have done absolutely nothing about it (said they would "investigate", which is a lie). I lost my job and had to visit the ER twice because of this fool. Don't go to LifeStance for mental health services.

With LifeStance I was able to find a great provider without making a dozen calls. The initial screening matched me with someone based on personal and logistical criteria. Scheduling appointments has been easy and the online format is convenient.

Predatory billing practices. I called two days in advance to reschedule my appointment. They charged me $100. Apparently I missed the cut off by 6 minutes, lol. I'm through with them. It's a shame. I really liked the Doc, but I refuse to be taken advantage of.

Dr didn't join the video call. I paid my co-pay upfront and they are charging me for a no show. I purposely waited a day to see if anyone would even check with me. Heard nothing. I disputed the charge and now I received a text they are charging my card. Terrible don't use them.

I am extremely disappointed with how my experience with this practice ended. Before scheduling my first appointment, I specifically asked whether they were in network with my Horizon Total Health insurance. I made it very clear that I needed them to verify my coverage before I moved forward, and I was assured that they accepted my insurance. Based on that information, I began therapy and attended sessions for approximately six weeks. Then, six weeks into treatment, I received a phone call informing me that they actually do NOT accept my insurance. As a retired medical office manager who worked with patients and insurance, I understand that mistakes can happen. However, insurance verification is one of the basic administrative responsibilities that should be handled before a patient begins treatment—not six weeks later. Patients should be given accurate information so they can make an informed decision about their care. What makes this especially upsetting is that therapy is not like an ordinary appointment. It takes time to become comfortable enough to trust someone and open up about personal things. In the beginning, I wasn’t even sure therapy was helping me. But during the last couple of weeks, I finally started feeling like Arlene and I were making progress. I was beginning to trust the process, open up more, and actually feel a little better. Just as I reached that point, I was suddenly told that my insurance wasn’t accepted. I was also disappointed that there was no personal outreach from my therapist acknowledging what happened or discussing possible next steps or continuity of care. Even a simple conversation would have meant something after six weeks of building a therapeutic relationship. Thankfully, I am proactive and immediately began researching other providers, but not every patient is in a position to do that—especially someone who may already be struggling emotionally and has finally found the courage to seek help. Mental health practices need to understand how important proper insurance verification, communication, and continuity of care are. You are dealing with people who may be vulnerable and who are trusting you with very personal parts of their lives. Administrative mistakes like this don’t just create an inconvenience; they can disrupt someone’s treatment at the exact moment they are beginning to make progress. I truly hope this practice improves its verification and communication procedures so another patient doesn’t have the same experience.

Easy to access, helpful assistance and great therapist

Nothing is perfect . I'm not the biggest fan of the patient portal only communication . It's next to impossible to communicate via telephone. Reply: sending screenshot. I'm not doing your job for you when you simply fwd this to the provider .

I am someone who has been in and out of therapy for years and often disliked it because it never felt right, Katie, my therapist, is such a wonderful therapist! This company has done so much good for me and everyone around me sees my improvements, I feel so lucky :)
