My therapist is amazing. He is very knowledgable and is excellent at his job. I tend to be oppositionally defiant. He acknowledges my resistance while introducing insights and techniques to help build my resilience and live in a productive manner. He is very professional and works as a team with my psychiatrist to ensure I receive the best care for me.

I did not even know I had an appointment. I never received a confirmation that the appointment had been scheduled. The first and only notification I received was an email on Saturday for an appointment on Tuesday. I immediately tried to cancel. I couldn’t reply to the email, the office was closed, and there was no option to leave a voicemail. Sunday was the weekend and Monday was a holiday. When I finally reached the office, I was told to use the patient portal. I couldn’t access it because LifeStance had never sent me the verification email needed to activate my account. I was then told a supervisor would call me about the cancellation fee. No supervisor ever called. LifeStance expects 48 hours’ notice, yet I wasn’t even notified that I had an appointment until less than 48 business hours beforehand, and they didn’t provide me with a reasonable way to cancel. At this point, this doesn’t look like a legitimate cancellation policy. It looks like a scam designed to collect cancellation fees from patients.

First I would like to say that I am sure people have gotten help from Lifestance but not me. Second I was charged a no show fee of 100.00 even though I sent several messages saying I needed to cancel my appointment and reschedule. My appointment on a Monday I gave them notice the Tuesday the week before and never recieved a reply back. I know they got my messages because the message I sent to confirm the time they responded. I refuse to pay a no show fee for an appointment I canceled well ahead of time.

Be very careful with LifeStance Health. Their billing and cancellation policies are intentionally misleading. They require "2 business days" notice to cancel, meaning if you have a Tuesday appointment after a holiday Monday, you are trapped into paying a penalty fee even if you try to cancel over the weekend.Worse than the tricky billing is their complete lack of professionalism. When I called to address this, the local extension supervisor literally hung up the phone on me while I was speaking. As a military veteran, I am disgusted by the total lack of basic respect and care shown by the staff here. They treat patients like metrics, not people. I will be warning all of my friends, family, and coworkers to avoid LifeStance completely. Go to a practice that actually respects its clients and their service.

I would put negative 10 if I could. I saw two different providers at. Life Stance Health. They are both terrible. The second one was a nurse practitioner. She’s the one I am most disappointed with especially since I am a nurse. I had been benzos for 23 years most recently Klonopin. I had to switch providers due to my insurance changing. I had been on a benzodiazepine most recently klonopin for the past 23 years and was abruptly stopped by the NP with the last name Uzoma. She was also very rude. I asked her if she would wean me off safely and I received a call saying no she won’t do anything to help me and I need to see a new provider. Very dangerous and unprofessional. I became extremely extremely sick from the withdrawals. They are extremely dangerous and life-threatening. I had to go to the emergency room. They hardly helped me. They gave me one Klonopin to get me through the day. I went to urgent care tonight and they covered me until I can get into my new psychiatrist. I am not one of those people to cause problems. I just don’t want her hurting somebody else or causing their death. Please don’t see this nurse practitioner. I will be reporting her to the state. Other doctors have told me too.
