I would rate no stars if I could
I would rate no stars if I could. Kohl's was really late on responding to the Pandemic and allowing deferred payments or late payments or whatever. All my other bill collectors (mortgage, phone, internet, city services, credit cards) put out a notice that assistance was available. About 2 or 3 months later Kohl's came out with a notice that said late payments were forgiven during the pandemic. I've been a loyal customer since 2006 always paying my bill on time- no late payments. I had my first and only late payment in May 2020, 3 months after pandemic started. They sent the notice to the collection agencies and it dinged my record. I called to request they forgive the lateness of my payment and retract the notice to the credit agencies since they are now forgiving lateness. First they told me I had to talk the credit agencies about that. What? That isn't any where near the truth. They are reporting agencies, they can't change the report that Kohl's sends them. Nice try. Then they said I had to email which was a problem since I received an email that said to send it to a different email. I received no response whatsoever. So I called back asked to speak to a supervisor. They said he was busy but they opened a case for it to be looked into-again no response. Called again. Nothing else they can do. What's the point of having customer service if you don't get any customer service? Why send out a letter saying pandemic late payments forgiven but then don't honor it? Pandemic started in March. Kohl's response letter was in what month? August or September? Now I'm having an issue paying my bill through the app. They said send an email. Why? Nothing happens when you send an email. Save your time. I love Kohl's store but this year I'm finding a new store to love.
