It's not often my wife wants to purchase a piece of jewelry but when she does, she spares no expense. We waited for the Kay jewelers in Cambridge Mn. to open at 10:00am. At 10:20, we decided to leave as they never opened the doors. Not only did they lose a huge sale today, but I'll never buy there again.

Went to have my ring accessed to keep my warranty active. The store was closed at 1:47pm on a Wednesday. How can we keep our warranty active if we can’t get our jewelry properly accessed as needed?

I got proposed to in March of 2021. I was elated! My ring is gorgeous and my soon to be husband is incredible. KAY JEWELERS HAS DONE EVERYTHING TO TRY TO RUIN THIS EXPERIENCE FOR US. 1. They were unable to adhere to the original completion date of the ring and my Fiancé had to change his entire plan for the proposal. 2. My ring finger had already been sized before the purchase of the ring and Kay did not make the ring to those specs before the ring was picked up. 3. Within two weeks a surrounding stone fell out and we figured we would have the stone replaced at the same time that they resized the ring to the original size that was requested. Apparently this is beyond what they are capable of because they sized the ring (still the wrong size) and also did not replace the missing stone. 4. During the process of trying to get the size and the stone fixed the associate that had been assisting my fiance throughout the process informs him that because the ring is custom they will not cover it under their extended warranty. Three months later we find out that this is inaccurate information and that the associate just doesn't know how to enter the extended warranty on a custom ring in their system. 5. We go to a different store to have the sizing taken care of because the ring is still just too big and we figure dealing with a different store will warrant better results. WE WERE WRONG! We send the ring off to be resized AND TO HAVE ANOTHER STONE REPLACED BECAUSE ONE HAS FALLEN OUT AGAIN. The new associate at the new store assures us that she will take care of it. The ring AGAIN comes back without the stone being replaced. I'd really like to Thank Duane from the Steele Creek store in Charlotte, NC, Teresa from the Pineville store in Charlotte, NC, and all parties involved for making this the worst possible experience.

Purchased my wife's wedding ring from you guys thinking you would provide a lifetime of high quality service. I wanted to upgrade her ring for our 5 year anniversary, but we recently just had two children and the pandemic so I was hoping to move it up and do it this year. Today I received notification from my credit app that you guys closed my account with 0 communication or warning. Now my credit is messed up literally for no reason because you have now ruined my credit ratio right after a pandemic and 2 children, and I am now stuck with a wedding ring forever that I can never upgrade without messing up my credit even more with an inquiry. You guys absolutely suck and should not be in a business that involves making people happy for a lifetime if you just care about small profits

I bought a ring from Kay in June 1. It was delivered on June 8th (great timing). The ring was to big so I called Kay and asked if they had the ring instore (they did). When I arrived I immediately pulled out my receipt and the ring. The lady that was helping me could not find my name in the system of having purchased from there store before. She called management to look through there system (they eventually found me in there system after waiting for an hour). I told her i wanted to exchange the ring for a different size in which she told me that they do not carry that ring in-store (I told her I called earlier and confirmed they did). Well they didn’t. So I went through the process of trying to return the ring instead of exchanging it. She goes to enter my information into the computer again and tells me that my order number is not in the system and she would have to call and wait for someone to help her again. After sitting there for another hour she tells me that my order number, delivery date, and order date were wrong and not what I had printed out. I showed her my confirmation email, and the account I set up on there website to confirm that all were correct. She has to again call someone to help her. Finally after another thirty minutes of waiting they finally tell me my order is correct and they can return my ring just not at full price. I will NEVER buy from Kay again. I waited there for over 2 hours with no explanation of what they were doing, no apology for telling me I was in the wrong for trying to exchange something I purchased from them. The lady helping me did not take me seriously and joked that this happens all the time. That is totally unacceptable!

My story. A horrible day experience: I searched high and low for months only to find the perfect engagement ring on Kay Jewelers. The ring said that it was available in a store about 50+ miles from my home and that it can be ready for pick up in 4hrs. I immediately placed the order thru affirm and couldn’t want to get the ring for a surprise engagement. After check out I received a confirmation but the confirmation was weird. It stated that the order would be sent out to the store located 50+ miles away from my home. I called the service rep at Kay Jewelers and informed them that I received an email confirmation stating that the ring I ordered was being sent out to the store when initially online it was in store for pick up so something must be wrong. The rep notified me that the ring might not be in the store and that mistakes like this happen and not to worry. If I had known that I would’ve had the ring shipped to a store much closer. The rep also stated that I would receive an email confirmation once the ring arrived at the store. I waited several days before receiving the email that the ring was ready for pick up. I drove about an hour and 30min to Kay Jewelers at 2131 Holmdel Parcel 2131 ST. HWY. 35 STE. 101 Holmdel 07733. When I arrived I was greeted rather strangely but In a polite manner I notified the store clerk that I had a confirmation for a pick up. The clerk stated that I did not need any confirmation number only my name. I provided my name and the clerk verified that the ring did in fact get delivered the day of. When the clerk opened the box I noticed that it was the WRONG ring😞. I notified the sales rep that the ring was incorrect and she almost assumed there was a mistake on my part. I gave her the order number. She looked up the ring on her tablet and clearly seen that the ring I ordered and the ring that was sent was clearly wrong. The clerk then proceeded to walk over to another part of the store only to come back with the ring I initially ordered which was actually in stock. The rep stated that Kay Jewelers made a mistake because the ring was actually in stock and that Kay jewelers clearly sent the wrong ring to the her store from another location. The clerk stated that she could not just give me the ring I ordered because what is she suppose to do with the ring that was sent to her store. The clerk suggested I either take the ring I did not order that was sent to her store or apply for a store card to get the ring I initially ordered and mentioned the store credit card over and over which ultimately made me feel uncomfortable. I ultimately left without the ring I was approved for and purchased through affirm although the correct ring was in store. 😢😢😢. I have to reapply for affirm and now I am so disgusted I don’t even want to use Kay jewelers nor would I recommend to anyone.

I purchased a set of small diamond earrings from Kay Jewelers for my wife for Mother's Day a couple of weeks ago. My wife informed me just a couple of days ago...today being the 2nd of June...that a back came off one of her earrings without her knowing it and the earring also ended up being lost without her knowing it. I contacted Kay's Jewelers and they refused to replace the earrings nor refund the money I spent. I stated the earring that fell off was inferior and defective I deserve attention to this matter. They refused. So now my wife does not have a Mother's Day present and I have spent money on a product that I believed was good quality but wasn't. Very poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend Kay Jewelers to anyone!

My husband had a custom necklace made for Mother’s Day, not only didn’t it take 45 days to get to me, but the chain was way to small and he knows he selected an appropriate size. The packing slip states you can make exchanges or returns to any store, so we went to a local store and tried! The sales rep stated all custom jewelry comes with 18” chains and they could not be exchanged and I can purchase another. I mean I would be a fool to purchase something else when they couldn’t honor the policy I had in hand! So I had to buy a chain from Walmart to wear my pendant. I ended up calling corporate about it. The lady let me speak and when I stopped she was still silent. Turns out she wasn’t even listening. Then she tells me, there is nothing they can do that’s their policy to not make any exchanges on custom jewelry and that was it. I will absolutely not ever consider them for nothing. They are a sorry establishment with unprofessional service
