Business Checking Hacked for $4,990.00 and Chase Refuses to Refund the Money! This happened on 10/29/2024 around 9 am at my home office. Not long after my most recent login on my laptop that day, I received a text alert that an ACH Employee Payee was created under the name David Roberts. This was on my business checking account I have with Chase Bank. Shortly after, I saw a payment of $4,990.00 in Real-Time ACH going to that new employee just created. I called Chase Bank immediately and locked my account. Luckily, I caught it quickly enough because they would have sent another $4,900.00 to the same ACH Employee David Roberts. I was able to have Chase lock the account just in time for the second payment to get rejected which happened within less than a minute. All this was happening while I was on the phone with them. Unfortunately, they said they couldn't reverse the first initial ACH payment because it was sent in real-time. After I had them lock the account temporarily, I was transferred to the claims department to put in my claim to get my money back. Based on the conversations with multiple Chase employees, this was going to be open and shut. They said that once approved, I would receive my money back within 5-10 business days. After that time had passed, I received a letter in the mail stating the claim was denied because they considered the transaction to be valid since it showed my laptop logging in just before the incident. To be clear, I was not logged in at all from my laptop when this was happening. I logged in on my phone to see if the transaction really happened before calling the fraud department. I am a self-employed business owner. I do not have any employees nor have I ever paid one. Also, you would see my spending behavior in my transaction history where I only pay my vendors, credit cards, and other bills related to the business. I had the claim reopened multiple times with the end result being the same. I was able to get it reopened one last time before Thanksgiving, but after the holidays, I received another letter stating the claim was once again denied. I've tried everything to get Chase to do what is right. I've filed complaints with the Attorney General, BBB, etc. I also filed a police report with the Medina County Sheriff on 11/19/2024 (Report# 24003193). Because it was a cybercrime, it is very unlikely they will find the perpetrator so I can receive restitution. I even researched and tried to find a way to prove my laptop was hacked (you can see my browsing history since the incident showed me making nothing but efforts to find a way to get my money refunded). The only way I could get Chase to refund my money was to spend more than what I lost on either a forensic computer analyst to provide evidence that I was in fact hacked or a lawyer to file a lawsuit against them. This is now a lose-lose situation for me. Anything I try will just end up forcing me to spend money on something I may not get back. With the holidays coming up, it's making it very difficult for myself and My Family. My next step is to let the world know about my experience and to think twice before signing up or staying a customer of Chase Bank (JP Morgan Chase). I really hope Chase can redeem themselves and do what's right, but I'm not holding my breath. If anyone looked further into this, they would definitely see that Chase is just trying to get out of paying me back due to some loophole they created.

They have the wrong public information for security checks, they want people to fail the security checks so they don't get the great cards they have

This company is pathetic! Right now in the middle of the busiest shopping time of the year I can't sign into the app! The guy I had to spend 30 valuable minutes talking to...who gave every stupid excuse in the world...finally told me to uninstall and reinstall. Good God! They evidently don't pay their IT folks enough. I never have this problem with any other app I have and I use many! No wonder less than 2 stars on here. I would give "0" if possilble.

Chase from north andover he offered us a line of credit, but Nelson Santos, was forcing us and pushing for a credit card he lied to us by saying that as a business we could not get a line of credit, 2 i told mr chase do not contact us through our personal information because it has to be through our business phone and email but mr chase and mr Nelson Santos also did not respect our privacy and decided to do so, the lady who make the appointment to was forcing us for a credit card wich we never wanted very disrespectful if someone doesn't want a product and asked you for another product DO NOT FORCE THEM For THESE REASONS WE DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOUR BANK PEOPLE DONT NOW HOW RESPECT OTHERS DECISIONS VERY UNPROFESSIONA.

My daughter just had a very bad experience with JP Morgan Chase. She opened up a savings and checking account from one of their offers and deposited money. Then they closed her account and will not give her her money! They closed it because she made deposits into her account a few days in a row to meet the required amount to be deposited to get the bonus from opening up a new account. They did not contact her or anything and just close the account and now a couple thousand dollars she cannot get and they said they're going to mail a check. This is such a bad experience for an 18-year-old opening her first own account She went to a branch to find out what was going on and they did not help and were not responsive. I would not recommend taking Chase up on any of these offers. They send through the mail to open up a new savings and or checking account.

I sent a complaint via consumer affairs. The Company CHASE has done NOTHING. My account was made inaccessible when I tried to send money to my daughter's Chase account Now they suggest I call a number that I've called numerous times before. They are determined to thwart my ability to access my accounts. What proof of my identity do they require? I sent a copy of the letter they sent to me. How could I fake such a letter? Their response is disgraceful. It would have been so easy for them to grant my request but they are too lazy or obstinate to do it.
