I would say very well run and organized company. Good email and text communication. Daily check ins, and any questions by text replied in timely manner.
Saw their ads on social media, gave them try, and very happy so far with the results from their ketamine treatment. Price for service and medication reasonable as to what else is out there.
Been on every anti depressant out there, and was giving up. Ketamine in microcode controlled doses, gave me a slight boost out of the darkness that depression drags you into.
I would highly recommend Joyous - and I am an actual patient, not employed or given any compensation to write this. It was sent to my email, and took the opportunity to give them a revue.

Too soon to tell
I’ll wait until I have tried it for a complete review. I did not realize it would take a week to arrive. The USPS is not open on weekends but, mail moves on weekends.

The medication has worked wonders
The medication has worked wonders. I highly recommend it. My only complaint, if there is one, is that it can take a long time for someone to respond to you when you contact tthem.

i was charged for a new refill even…
i was charged for a new refill even though i didn’t complete the telehealth appointment to talk about a refill, i have so much medicine left over and they went ahead and charged my account for a new refill even tho i have 24 troches left and told them to pause my subscription and they said they did. obviously they didn’t, i feel it’s very irresponsible to just go ahead and send medication out for someone who doesn’t want it and has an over abundance of it and that money was for my car payment that is two months late. it’s a great way to allow people to abuse the medication with the way they try to push it on you even if you have way too much leftover already. will not be renewing any more prescriptions and will change my card number. would be nice if there was an actual patient portal to log into to cancel the subscription since obviously the care team members can’t be trusted to do that. y’all’s website specifically states “after 21 days ours telehealth health providers will check in with you via telahealth consultation( 3 week follow up appointment) if a refill makes sense a new 30 day supply will be shipped to you” i didn’t even have a telehealth consultation why are you guys just shipping out medication that i didn’t even have an appointment for?

Hi Kandace,
We are sorry that you were charged without wanting a refill, however our subscriptions are planned to charge and ship monthly. If someone does not request to cancel/pause before the monthly charge, this can cause the prescription to have already been ordered through our pharmacy and shipped to the patient. We understand your concerns and we are continuing to work with our Care Team to support our patients' needs.
Best regards,
Joyous

I wish I could rate this treatment with…
I wish I could rate this treatment with 10 stars, but there are only 5! I’m the poster child for depression and anxiety lifelong, partial response to medication, therapy, etc. After a recent traumatic event I decided to go in a different direction, did a ton of research and took the plunge 10 days ago… Night and Day transformation. I’m out of bed at 7 am EXCITED about the day. The last two weeks prior to starting Joyous, I was literally in bed and didn’t leave the house at all. Wow! Game changer! I’ve been blessed with no more than mild side effects. I’ve never felt this good in my entire life! I’m beyond grateful 😇

Poor medical supervision
Had 2nd appointment, provider didn't update my account for the dose increase. No one to call, tried text, THE care team changed my dose from 60 to 75, not 80 like prescribed. They order the wrong prescription, had to switch to a provider that has a phone number to call and supervise, not some random care team acting on some corporate treatment plan. They appear to use an automated text system.
Updated. No real resolution. Had to start over with another provider.

Possible scam- updated
Update: Joyous reached out via text and apologized for a technical difficulty with the video appointment, they ensured everything was good to go and prescription was being sent to pharmacy. I do wish it was clear which number is actually a human as I now somehow have 5 phone numbers and only 2 seem to be fully automated. I appreciate them reaching out and providing a detailed update.
Initial review: Had a video appointment all set up, met with Joshua, he advised I would be a good candidate and we went over dosing, side effects etc. Becasue of another medication I’m on Joshua said I need my primary care doctor to fill out an authorization form. My doc filled it out and faxed it back to them. I received a text from Joyous stating they received the fax and to make another appointment with Joshua. Made a 2nd appointment for today 2/21 and he canceled the virtual appointment while I was in the waiting room. No one is responding to my text messages and now I’m scared they have my doctors information and signature in their possession. No response from anyone, who knows what they could do with the form my doctor filled out that they (joyous) required me to get completed. They did however send me a text stating “we see you missed your appointment” which was false, they canceled on me. I did set up another appointment with a different doctor, let’s see if they cancel on me this time around. Review may be changed if this upcoming appointment goes well and someone actually responds back to my texts (I have 4 different numbers from them and all have been texted multiple multiple times). All I want is improvement on my mental health and right now they are a contributing source of my mental health.

Low dose ketamine will save lives
For context, I've had c-PTSD since I was a toddler, and my countless attempts at traditional psychotherapy offered me very little relief, though EMDR helped some. For decades, I believed I had no other choice than to always feel the crippling effects of my horrific upbringing. I was, quite literally, born in hell, and was raised as an unhuman being. I was a thing, not a person.
Regarding mental health, I've long been curious about how transformative psychedelic medicine can be, but legally, it's not readily available as of now. I'd also heard of high dose ketamine therapy, and knew that it could cost thousands of dollars and that its effects might not last, which further made me feel that there was truly no help out there, but then I stumbled upon Joyous.
In my opinion, $129/month is extremely reasonable in comparison, and after my first dose, my normally hyper-anxious and unrelentingly stressed out mind felt calmer. When its effects would start to wane, I'd report it on my daily check-in and my next day's dose would be adjusted. It's been a month now and I'm on 80mg that I split up twice daily, which has helped the hurricane that lives in my mind transform into a docile pond. Life finally feels manageable!
In all my life, I've never before felt this good. I should also add that I'm autistic with ADHD and battle chronic pain (lupus, psoriadic arthritis, fibromyalgia, and migraines because constant stress is that toxic). Joyous' low dose ketamine therapy has greatly helped my focus and social abilities, as well as my daily pain. I'm more outgoing, I smile more, I laugh more, I'm much more productive, I live more. I'm a better parent, a better wife, a better and more alive human now. This therapy is by far one of the best things to ever happen to me, and I've even referred 2 others to Joyous.
My only criticism is that, yes, the customer service could be improved upon. I've never had an issue, but replies from the company can take 24 hours, and responses don't always fully address the question or problem. For instance, my cousin started Joyous this week, and, he got his welcome text where he elected to start that day, then the following day he never got his daily check-in, and the text help line was less than helpful regarding his issue, but then he did get his daily check-in the day after. So, there are bugs that need to be worked out. For patients, I suggest being more proactive regarding big issues, and for Joyous, I'd suggest trying to implement surveys after patients submit issues. It'd be helpful, too, if billing texts were sent out to advise patients when they'll be billed, as well as clarifying their cancelation process. There's got to be a way to work out the kinks.
All in all, though, I highly recommend this treatment. I hope it changes your life, too! 🌈
BTW, that NYT article reeked of big pharma.💀 And big pharma should be scared, because there are far better and healthier treatments out there, such as Joyous.
