The medicine is helpful, but there are MAJOR drawbacks with logistics and patient care
The medicine is helpful, and the telehealth visits convenient. My provider is helpful and knowledgeable. However, Joyous uses USPS for shipping, and I've had pretty much constant issues over the past several months I've been a patient. Some shipments arrive in a few days, but most take weeks to arrive. I've had to spend an inordinate amount of time and energy tracking down lost med shipments. I've narrowly escaped running out of medicine twice in the 4 months I've been a patient, with the shipment showing up in the evening of the last day of my medicine supply. There is ZERO sense of urgency from Joyous staff when these issues occur, which is often. Considering the controlled nature of this medicine, and the severity of mental health issues Joyous patients' deal with, you'd think they'd prioritize on-time, reliable shipping, and a method to contact a human being immediately in case issues arrive. Ketamine has been helpful for me, but considering the vast logistical issues and lack of patient care, I'm currently searching for more reliable alternatives.
