Very pleased with my G5 unit.

My family and I were very disappointed upon the device malfunctioning while in vacation. More so because it was brand new. My sister was in luck as she had to resolve quickly via phone and found a local medical equipment facility. This incident again was a disappointment as we had purchase the Inogen devices due to the success reviews.

Very easy to use and light weight can take it anywhere.

This was one of the most frustrating purchases I have ever made. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to share my story so this doesn’t happen to another family. We would have returned the unit if we would have had other options but with the onset of the COVID virus we were forced to keep it. The unit was purchased for my 87 year old mother who resides in a Senior Living facility who was diagnosed last Jan. 2020 with COPD. Initially the unit was delivered to the wrong address. It took SEVERAL weeks and many phone calls with empty promises of overnight shipping to get It finally delivered to the Senior Living Facility only to realize they had shipped the WRONG Inogen Unit. AGAIN, many empty promises of overnight shipping and we continued to wait for the correct unit.Once received, it was impossible to use it for 24 hours without an External Battery Charger which Inogen provided for no charge but AGAIN offered overnight shipping and received it one week later. The whole experience was a nightmare and found out right before COVID locked down the facility in mid-March that my mom qualified through Medicare to rent an Inogen unit at no cost to her. Unfortunately, this did not work because no one was allowed into the facility to evaluate her oxygen needs. She has been using the unit for approximately 5 months and it had to be replaced already due to the battery overheating. Needless to say, I would NEVER recommend this product!

Inogen allowed me to comfortably go on vacation; ride a plane, and be on a cruise ship. I use oxygen primarily at night, and recommended when flying - and all of the other alternatives seemed a bit clumsy and harder to manage. It made my last vacation much better than the first!

Fairly lightweight but could use a longer battery life. But very dependable and I do love it.

Noisier than stated

The G5 is allowing me back some of the freedom I lost to my pulmonary fibrosis.I like to get out on our property and drive my tractors and go down to the creek and work some in my shop or garden and yard and the common oxygen bottles are dangerous and can catch fire or explode in the wrong situations where the G5 leaves me feeling safe and secure.It is a little heavy at 5.5 pounds with a double battery so I purchased a back pack and that fixed that issue. The G5 will also stay charged for 8 to 11 hours on the double battery. I haven't even used the spare battery yet. 2 thumbs up from me for the Inogen G5. Thank You, Don Williams
