Cant cancel my reservations. Our flights out of Reno where cancelled and Holiday Inn Club Vacations wont let us move with losing all our points or cancel with out losing all the points. They now require a 3 day cancel. And if you move the reservation, it must be with in the same month as the original reservation. And in our case that cat happen cause we have blizzard conditions this next week. Its Feb 24th, and we would have to travel by Feb 28th. Its totally BS. I would never use them again and will sell my timeshare or give it away.

If you get 'scammed' by this company go straight to your state attorney general web site and look to see what rights to cancellation that you have. In Michigan we get 3 days for sales calls to the home. Further since it was high pressure sales talk and information was withheld, that it was a time share event, fraud was committed. We were told they did not have to but they would do a refund. Also, if your over 60 start to talk about elder abuse. Some states have statues specifically to those over 60. The $ involved with these time shares, many fixed income retirees will likely experience painful financial issues. Also write to your credit card company and state it was fraud. Let them know you will dispute the charges. Our federal state rep send the constituents an email to contact if you have consumer issues, they want to help. Contact them and let this scam company know you are doing so. Contact your local reps, bring on the pain from all directions. Update: A second $398 charge comes in for an Orlando stay. Called and they 'say' the package is cancelled. We not have to check the credit card account to see if this second charge exists. Act fast too, don't wait. And always be nice on the phone, don't blow your lid.

I purchased the $200 4 day presentation deal. I found out later that pets were not permitted. I was not informed of this at time of purchase. I asked for a refund and it was denied. What kind of company does not issue a refund if a customer is not happy? Apparently they do not stand behind their product or service. I'm done with Holiday Inn . . .

Complete Scam. Do not waste your time. Luckily, I have not purchased the full commitment, I'm just stuck in a stupid week trial. After the experience trying to get someone on the phone, I am so relieved that I didn't actually buy the full timeshare experience. I was on hold yesterday for over 4 hours trying to get in touch with someone at the company and then the automated phone system hung up on me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I love staying in Holiday Inn hotels but their Vacations Package is a complete and total scam. RUN from these people. Do not sign anything, they will lie to your face about what you are getting, and then you will never be able to contact them.

Signed up for a vacation package in Aug 22 after receiving a phone call. Signed up: details of the call, Employee ID: Raul, 030956, Confirmation #: HUG0001399542. They said this deal was fully refundable. Initially corresponded to make a reservation in March 23 in Gatlinburg, TN. Never got confirmation email. Contacted them to check on this and they said reservation did not exist. Wow. I said I wanted to do the fully refundable option, as was explained to me in August 22. They said it’s not refundable. So I then made a reservation via phone for Galveston, TX, 11-14MAR23 and explained that this is the only date window I have due to travel for work (I’m in the Army and travel constantly for my current assignment) or vacation plans already coordinated outside of the country. They said there was availability and that they booked two rooms (in a suite-type arrangement) for the five of us. They said I’d get the confirmation email in under 72 hrs. Did not come. Then I got a text saying my reservation at Galveston was 11-14FEB23, so I called to figure out what the heck happened. They said that is the reservation date and that there isn’t any availability now for the dates I had reserved in Galveston……this is just ridiculous—the level of incompetence is incredible and this is such a scam. Want a full refund and some explanation or apology for the run-around and incompetence. This has really messed up my family plans multiple times and had other associated costs based on second- and third-order effects.

It's a black hole for your money. The price up front is just the beginning. The interest rate is THROUGH THE ROOF. If I hadn't started throwing money at it when I did, the end cost probably would have been double the initial price. And all for the promise of points to go on vacations... The points you get aren't even worth the yearly cost of fees. They don't tell you any of this up front. It's just shy of a scam. My fees this year were nearly $700 and my points are worth about 2 nights, tops. Again, that's after thousands of dollars to get to this point.

Horrible experience. Holiday Inn purchased my resort several years ago. Since then, the website doesn’t work, hours waiting on the phone to reach someone to help. Much lower quality than other timeshare companies.

DO NOT BUY HOLIDAY IN CLUB VACATION TIME SHARE ITS A SCAMM! Its a waist of money! We bought and initial 50k points. They made it seem like the best investment ever. Its not no way to actually book anything. All the dates and times are apparently booked by grandfathered members. But if you want to pay out of pocket they will gladly take your money. You can never book anything. We financed this because we are a family of five. So we thought this was a great investment to save money on all the family vacations. Turns out we just pissed it all away. Then we went back for a member meeting. We wanted to say NO because of our experience already. They would not take no for an answer we were there for 8 hours back and fourth saying no and they kept digging until we gave in and upgraded. The finance manager assured us we can call with any questions and book what we needed and we try but never pans out. This is a major scam they pray on the families that don’t have money and are on a fixed budget. Worst experience ever. Nobody ever helps. They make it seem like the best vacation package so easy. So many locations to go to and still have not ever been able to book a vacation with the holiday in club vacation club. IF YOU GO SAY NO!!!!!! They just keep getting you with yearly maintenance. I would not mind paying maintenance if it was something I could actually enjoy. Now with out fixed income I have to try to hire a lawyer to get out of this horrible position I put my family in. Monthly payments that could actually go to a real vacation not the dream they trying to sell you. And when you ask them to buy it back they say no it is yours forever until you pay it of then they tell you that you can relinquish the shares and only then you will no longer be accountable for the maintenance fees. So no I have to pay over 20k to holiday in just because they got me to believe in their product. Its all lies its a way to generate income for their lavish resort. Worst thing I have ever done!
