This company cost me a very high earning job, when I needed it the most. I have never failed a background check before and I am a contractor, therefore I've had about 20 in my lifetime. I never even knew I had something on my background, dating back to almost 18 years. This happened when I was 18 years old, hanging with the wrong crowd (retail theft at the mall). I have never been in trouble since. I've had level 2 background checks that I've passed, FBI fingerprint checks. I've worked for major financial institutions, insurance and government contracts. This particular company, requested a 7 year background check and for the first time ever, I find out I had something on my record. I've went through at least 6 hireright background checks and this has NEVER came up. When I needed a job the most is when this happened. It also, took them 4 weeks to complete it. THANK YOU, HIRERIGHT FOR RUINING MY LIFE. ESPECIALLY, DURING A PANDEMIC.......If I could sue them I would!

Most incompetent company ever! The information sent to them via their portal is not the same information as the employment dates are incorrect and phone numbers are incorrect and when you call them to let them know that there is a glitch they tell you to call your employer and they want you to chase after everyone!

These people are a joke, Collecting information and loosing it. WORD OF ADVICE: if the one with the polish accent calls you promising timelines l, get it all in an email cause they will send you around the twist double and triple asking for the same stuff! Absolutely useless, if your under a time line to start, they have no pressure at all. YOU WILL DO THE CHASING YOU WILL DO THE CHECKS while THEY collect the CHEQUES

I used this company HireRight for third background check services. I was attempting a project with another company called ONNI who stated I needed a background check to work with them and sent me a link through HireRight. I paid the $19 for the background check and coincidentally got a message later that day from OMNI stating I could not work on the project. I have a very clean record and I have a feeling that all of this is a scam to get people to pay for unnecessary background checks while also obtaining their personal informations. I am living that I gave this company all my information including debit card number etc. I wrote to their customer service email and got a message back that it was not sent due to the inbox being full. Screams scam all over it!

Unfortunately they were unable to confirm the start and end date of my employment, even though my employers responded and confirmed this to them. They did not contact me as other agencies do. They sent missing information to my new employer, who is now chasing me for the “missing” information that was already provided.

I have gone through them both as an employer and a new hire. Both are terrible experiences. Let me tell you a little secret if your potential employer is using these guys to vet you, you probably should find another job ( seriously) because using these guys or Triton just means they do not care enough about you to actually call and check your references; your disposable and they ( your potential employer) are even cutting corners at HR and hiring this elchepo temp agency/ rat breeder to rubber stamp you. Let me tell you another little secret, your educational background; your past job has little to no weight as most of us learn everything on the job this can even be said for top level CEOs, that being said ruling out an employee based on defects or fudges on a resume are comical. Everyone and their grandmother will add buzz words and brighten up resumes; this company is a fault-finding agency. In the grand scheme of things what you can do matters, sure if you have nothing to report that's an issue but its unlikely your even going to get an interview in the first place. Listen most employees and employers are on probation with each other after the hiring process sometimes it works other times it doesn't. The sales pitch of mitigating risk is a total scam; if you are exceptional and can really demonstrate change and innovation that will easily come out either during an interview or the beginning of your employment history via your WORK. Most folks fail to understand most if not all folks are hired on a trial basis" try before you buy " Stay the hell away from ANYONE promising people sculpting or anyone claiming that validation means the right hire the right person. These guys couldn't validate their way out of a paper bag; let alone bring anyone of any use into any company. You won't find exceptional people being released using these bozos only mediocre people, why? because exceptional people or talent is in short supply and anyone with real talent will likely get bypassed for this check. For the unfortunate rest if you really care about hiring the right people ask better questions "do more interviews and do more testing to validate the candidates' skills" HireRight won't help you just make your life hell by asking you questions; making you do all the leg work and wasting your time; be super careful releasing information to them ( always redact anything a scammer could use). Sign of the times another useless company offering yet another useless service. Listen if it was so easy to find good people we wouldn't be in a labour shortage worldwide, these culprits are one of the main reasons a lot of people can't be bothered and are fed up.

These people have no clue what they’re doing. They don’t want people to get hired. They sit overseas, can hardly speak English, and is investigating Americans’ backgrounds. It’s been over 5 weeks, they went back to 1990 into my background, everything is clear, but they’re still holding up the completion. They need to be fired and never given any business by American companies. They have no clue what they’re doing. Zero stars is more applicable to them.

The worst background service ever. Even Hireright is based in the US, they can't simply contact an American university to complete your education background check. You provide them files for your employment background check, they first say they are accepted and a few weeks later, they contact you and tell you that they are not accepted anymore. Do not work for a company which is using Hireright for background checks.
