Customer Service
I have been an employer/client of HireRight for approximately 13 years, and the decline in customer service over the past four years has been extremely disappointing. Front-line support is often ill-prepared, emails frequently go unanswered, promised follow-up does not occur, and issues are too often “forwarded” to another department with no clear ownership or resolution. For employers who depend on timely background screening and portal access, this creates unnecessary delays and frustration. Long-term clients should not have to repeatedly chase for answers or explain the same issue multiple times. HireRight needs better-trained support staff, clearer escalation procedures, and real accountability for customer follow-up. Based on my recent experience, I would caution other employers to expect slow responses, inconsistent guidance, and a frustrating lack of ownership when problems arise.
