If I could put a zero I would. Worst website and experience ever!!! They have denied my global ID ten times ridiculous. First it was my dob didn’t match which was crap and then my picture on my ID wasn’t clear but then how can I fly without any issues. Then they make you use the biometric scan and it failed, so ridiculous!!! No wonder everyone’s identity gets stolen: what a racket and a totally useless site

Created a lot of fuss about nothing. can not even confirm a small graduation date that can be found online easily.

STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY When i say they are the worst company to deal with i am not exaggerating, they have made me jump through hoops for weeks trying to get my background check sorted. When the report was finally produced, I failed it, one reason being that they couldn't prove I went to college even though I provided the certificate showing i completed a course there. They also pulled me up because the job title I stated was not exactly word for word what I mentioned. They will find any reason to fail you however small. *************** EDIT 2026 ****************** I sadly have been unfortunate in that I have to deal with this worthless company once again. And once again we are playing a game of tennis, I send information they ignore it and I send more. The fact this company is in businesses and it services are used is a disgrace. they are worthless and pointless.

Extremely frustrating experience with HireRight. Their verification process is poorly managed, communication is inconsistent, and applicants are left dealing with unnecessary stress. HireRight requested an Amazon employment verification letter and authorization form, then closed my verification as "Unable to Verify" just two days later, before Amazon had sufficient time to process the authorization. After I completed everything and submitted the requested employment letter, HireRight customer support told me that employment verification letters were not acceptable documentation, directly contradicting their own investigator's instructions. They then requested US tax forms (W-2/1099) despite my employment being in Canada. Their Applicant Center also lacks clear document upload options and guidance. Despite my cooperation, my report was finalized with unresolved items requiring employer review. Background checks can directly affect people's careers. HireRight should take that responsibility seriously instead of rushing investigations, giving contradictory instructions, and forcing applicants to clean up the mess. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this service.

Unable to do international background check verifications. Will stall for months with no progress. Avoid at all cost. No customer service, will always state that an update will be provided in 48h

I sincerely wish I could get away with leaving 0 stars. HireRight customer service is the worst experience of my life. We’re sorry your livelihood depends on us completing this background check, but we can’t give you an ETA on when we’ll be done, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience. Yeah, that’s doubtful. Effecting my livelihood because I have to delay my start date isn’t something I would call an inconvenience. What’s worse is if you do manage to talk to a human it’s 100% evident that the company checking your background is having you call and confirm details with a country you’ve probably never been to and has a tendency to staff call centers. HireRight has been the absolute worst experience of my life. I’ve blown out an ACL, MCL, and PCL, dealing with HireRight has been more painful. Currently emailing the CIA to suggest HireRight background checks for interrogation. Just make them pass a background check with HireRight, guaranteed they talk long before they get through the process.

for self employed who owns an LLC, who needs to send Hireright verified documents can take several weeks (business checks for example that no one in this age uses, takes 10-15 days) yet, they close the background check as soon as they can. Why ask for document verification knowing that it can take two weeks to receive?
