They do none of the work. ask you to everything then say they can't verify it only to close your account and prevent you from getting hired. Their automated system is slow, unreliable, their personnel (if you can get through to them) are untrained or incapable of doing their job. This is the worse background check company I've ever worked with.

This company is Ridiculous
This company is Ridiculous! for ANY nursing jobs all that needs to be verified is that the License is Valid and the Criminal background. This slow incompetent company kept emailing for redundant information. I have had SEVERAL background checks for jobs and Never experienced delays like with this company. Patients are sick and dying while this company is unnecessarily delaying Front Line Workers.

I would give them zero stars
I would give them zero stars - and that's generous. Seriously, I am nervous that I will lose my job offer because of their incompetence. I have written letters, provided documentation -- and all to no avail. I do not understand why it is such an issue. I am tempted to threaten to sue them to see if that makes them do their job properly. Horrible.

Would give 0 stars if this allowed me…
Would give 0 stars if this allowed me to. It has been over 2 months and my background check still hasn't come back. My employer has now gone through another background check provider. These people will straight-up lie to you and tell you that the entire county's background check system has been down for 3 months. You're telling me that no one has been able to start a job in one of the largest cities in America for 3 months? GTFO with that garbage. Comcast looks like a saint compared to these guys.

Very very bad customer experience!!!
Very very bad customer experience!!!
I have never seen such a bad company.
They do not send an email if there is something missing regarding the reference check.
They said that the report is created and sent to my new company.
I can not access the report. I contacted with my new company and they said that they don't even have a visibility.
I have never understand why such a big companies work with Hireright.

The slowest most painful experience…
The slowest most painful experience i've ever gone through. Slowed down my starting a job. Slowed down the company being able to bring me onboard. All for the sake of a useless information gathering exercise that has zero bearing on my value as a candidate.

Awful, slow process
Slow process, took more than one month. They had to check my past 2 employments and 1 education, like call 3 numbers, this should be done in 1 week at most. They do not read the attached papers carefully, so they ask for additional papers when everything they needed was already submitted to them. At the end the final report is not visible directly to you but you need to ask HR to give it to you?? I mean why I should I not be able to see the status? And the UI/UX of the web platform is awful...

Truthfully
Awful, untrustworthy & time wasting company - suggested name change to HireWrong!
Awful company. Should be zero stars! Not impressed with how they run their business. They don't read the attachments properly that you put on their system for your employment check. Reference details aren't enough for this company, they want copies of past job contracts too, which doubles up on work load and is a big waste of time. It appears to be an algorithm AI system, so lacks human contact and the common sense to help you. It seems to be based on a one size fits all approach, which fails in this type of business. I don't trust this company in the slightest and I'm very unimpressed with them. When I contacted them with a problem, they said I didn't exist on their system! Sadly I had no choice in using them as the company I was offered a job with, uses them to carry new employee checks. I have complained to the HR Department about them. I've noticed other review sites have given higher stars to this terrible company, these reviews have been done by employers using them for new staff, not by the new employees themselves, so trust pilot is the only truthful website reviewing HireRight (or should they be named HireWrong!?).
UPDATE & ADVICE: If you don't get anywhere with HireRight AKA HireWrong, don't waste anymore of your precious time trying to contact them for a proper answer, instead tactfully go to the HR Department for the organisation that the job offer is from and explain the problems you're having with HireRight. I did with mine and they were great and sorted it out for me very quickly and funnily enough, soon after taking it up with the HR department, I got a response from HireRight saying that I did exist and I had given them enough information afterall, which thankfully meant, I could start my job on time, but certainly no thanks to HireRight!
If enough of us bring HireRight's inefficiency to the HR Departments using them, then hopefully they will not update their contract with them or use them again, then unsuspecting future recruits won't get stressed out in the future!
