This has to be the worst experience of my life. First, Hireright stated, they have runners to go to the court house if there was a system issue, then someone said they are waiting for the courts. I called the courts because it is a small town and the clerk stated no one from hireright reached out to them. The escalation team is very rude and say anything to get you off the phone without action. I call hireright everyday for past two weeks and I'm am still stuck in this situation.

Terrible Customer service and I am surprised they managed to stay in business. Been on the phone over an hour waiting for simple answer.

I have been waiting on them to finish for over a month now. I contacted them to find the status and they told me they are waiting on court records which they requested over 20 days ago. My wife used to work in that courthouse so she called a friend, come to find out hireright hasn’t properly submitted a request! This particular court has to have them requested in person and the documents have to be paid for. I called hireright to let them know this and they call me a liar to say the court wouldn’t tell me if there was a request for my information. It’s to the point with these people I have started to consider legal action.

In UE there is personal information protection act which prevents companies to share your employment history, scholar degree or such with random person via phone. Thats why HireRight is just a fraud. They claim they do checks but only thing they can do is compare scans of your documents with information you have supplied via their poor designed site. But they still demand contact to HR to your former employer. Not HR division, this must be person who is working there. Which company will give you such data after few years you have finished working there? Which company will talk with HireRight cia phone and give them your personal data? None. Thats why "verification" process is lie. They also demand tax docs from different country you worked because they do not understand that you can work remote. Contact with them is another annoying experience. Expect calls at random time because they do jot understand time zones concept. If you pick up phone expect poor english which prevents you from understanding what they want. Avoid at all cost.

GT-011923-AA532 I am currently going through vetting and will use this review as a live update. Seeing previous reviews I am extremely worried about the vetting company. 19 Jan: Vetting started, and I received an email link to upload information for vetting (addresses & employment). The website is very simple to use and quick to update information within. One major flaw is the fact the reference contact details only allows phone number, no email. Most HR companies don’t respond to reference requests by phone. Therefore, I had to email starting that I uploaded reference contact details as part of a document submission . Documents I had to upload: HMRC Payslip CV Passport Driving License Certificates Following this, I emailed the vetting team to make them aware that all documents were uploaded, and requested they reviewed all documents before contacting me. I received a response within 10 mins confirming they could see all requested documents had been uploaded, and that they would now request DBS. 25 Jan Received a request for further information. However, this did not come as an email or alert me! Just happened to be the case that I was logged in. The information requested I am surprised they were not able to request themselves. 27 Jan Complete. I feel the service is fast if you prepare all your documents in advance. I have so far given 4 due to speed of response, clarity of information on emails instructions and speed of email replies. I have removed one star as the portal does not alert you to request for information.

Zero stars. Negative stars if that is possible. Horrible experience, they keep asking for more documents, and at the end don't complete their checks; and mark the candidate as having a discrepancy when there is none!. They do not think outside the box. I was excited about this job offer; and now my energy level too low. I do not recommend HireRight to anyone, not even to my dog !

Without a doubt, truly the worst company and service methodology for background checking. As an employee or prospective employee awaiting a background check you shouldn't be doing their job for them in retrieving evidence of your disclosures, or spending sleepless nights worrying about how you're going to provide evidence of some trivial details of some project you did years ago at high school that's still (unfortunately) present in your resume. Having gone through this process twice now, and had to deal with it's disruptiveness, nit picking and sometimes unacceptable requests - I urge companies to look elsewhere when outsourcing HR background checking services. A better service would focus on employment, criminal, financial and work history verification and simply send authorisation-to-contact forms as needed.

Horrible!! Like the reviews said.. you have to do their job for them! I had to contact my old job and tell my old job to reach out to hireright! This is after I gave hireright the numbers to verify old jobs. I gave them paystubs with old jobs number! Few days after I provided paystubs, they email me and say they need contact info! I replayed “the info you need is on the paystubs and under previous employment!!!” After two days of providing all that info they still can’t verify old jobs!!! I’m giving up a great job opportunity because of hireright!!! Please get rid of the company
