The background screening company was completely ineffective. I don't understand why companies like Microsoft rely on such unreliable services for background checks. My offer was revoked because of inaccurate information they provided to Microsoft. Despite me providing all the necessary documentation to clarify the situation, Microsoft still chose to trust the screening company without further review.

They do not accept any documents, they do not allow edits, they promise help and do not deliver, they are more robot than human.

A complete disaster. Had to provide the same information multiple times. My contact barely spoke English and so understanding what was required was very difficult. When things were required no one contacted me, I only found out by logging on to the portal. They tried to contact the new employer to ask for a reference from the old employer. They refused to accept my email address for their systems because it didn't end in .com or .co.uk, but they emailed me to tell me this. The whole process is a joke, what a waste of time!

They had one job and failed. My background check failed to complete due to an internal error and I have to fill out their forms again

If I can leave a zero I would. This is by far the worst company to run a background check. They don’t send email updates and stop companies from actually finding talent. I actually sent all my tax documents to prove I was self employed for 8years and additional emails of sales to prove I was legitimate. And to not get the job because of this BS Company can’t even do their own job. I hope this company gets boycotted for ruining others opportunities.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I had no other choice than to get a background check through HireRight for the company I accepted an offer from. 1 month ago I submitted everything needed for HireRight to complete my report. The first deadline was 9/3...then 9/10...then 9/23...now they say there is no ETA as they are "backlogged". This company is delaying my start date for my job, therefore delaying my livelihood (rent, bills, expenses) It is insane to me that this is even allowed to happen. Especially when you have no records anywhere in or outside of the US! I pray they are shut down sooner or later.

This is the most annoying background experience I have ever been through. I provided all the information requested and no further information was requested and here I am 3 weeks later and no change in status in 15 days. I called and was told that they were waiting on the county for my criminal background, which of course there is none, and when I asked what county they were waiting on the representative didn’t know. If you are involved in your companies onboarding process run away as fast as you can. They don’t follow up and if you call they cannot verbally give you any information. I was required to give a star to leave this review otherwise it would be zero.

Absolutely useless and terrible service. I had to conduct a background check for my current employer using this service. Long story short - steer away from this company if you're able to do so. I had no choice but went through. First red flag of this background check was spelling issues and another typos in the first emails. That a was a bit strange for me so I first took the emails as a spam. After call with HR, I obliged and filled in all information. It took 3-4 days as I had to provide additional information or scans of documents. It was funny since you could add those documents at first iteration. Unfortunately I cannot tell the whole truth since my last review was marked by the HireRight and taken down. Let's just State Possible Arrogant Messages, which has something to do with that. In the end, if I ever need to do some background check for organisation in foreign country, I would ask for more reputable company. It's worth noting that I had to do the background check even I was already hired and since you need to fill in everything correctly, I had to put my true current employer.
