Glasses.com is a genuine scam…
Glasses.com is a genuinely scam operation. Their website to order is very easy; however, your nightmares will begin immediately after you press the send button: 1. You will receive 1 confirmation email 2. They will put a hold on your credit card 3. if you are buying through insurance they will put a hold on that. Then radio silence. After 1 week, you will start to get concerned. Then you will frantically search for a number to call. They will tell you to use either CHAT or EMAIL. You will CHAT: their agents will give you crappy information and will randomly disconnect you. They will tell you to upload your RX 30 times or more. Then if you get frustrated (which you are bound to be) they will tell you: I will not be spoken to that way and then disconnect. 2 weeks will pass playing this game. You will get the same agents - Bailey, DEra, Kaleb, Nolan. They will randomly disconnect after giving you bad information. On top of it, ocassionally, you will find that they are chatting with their boyfriend, gf or lover and accidently they will send you a chat instead (*eg: he is not expected back until later at 9pm). 4 weeks will pass - you try to cancel the order they will not cancel saying "the window to cancel this order manually has passed, it will automatically cancel in the next 5 days" 5 weeks will pass. now you have given up. you have gone to lenscrafters or pearle vision and gotten your glasses. you did not get reimbursed by your insurnace since Glasses.com still has your insurance hold. 8 weeks have passed. This nightmare is a distant memory. But you still remember occasionally, So you are brave and try your hand at chat. This time the agent is the same, but you changed your name. You ask about order status. They will say, Sir your prescription has to be verified. You tell them its been 2 months. Then they will cancel if you get the right agent, otherwise the story continues. Happened with me and my spouse. STAY AWAY.
