Late booming at 17th st causeway Fort Lauderdale and it was absolutely gross. Smelled like cigarettes. Intermittent hot water. Shower and sink wouldn’t drain or slow drain. The room was super nasty. The location is great…. But we weren’t getting on a cruise and this is clearly where cruise people go prior to the boat. I suppose it makes a dinghy feel like a cruise ship after a night here. Terrible. (Front desk was great… the hotel upkeep is not her responsibility)

Review of Premier Extended Stay
First off, this review is specifically for Premier Extended Stay in Kennesaw, GA, however, they don't have their own website, and they are within the family of Extended Stay America hotels. I don't know if the other hotels have this same problem, so keep this in mind while reading this review. The hotel manager I dealt with was James. I made a reservation for one night as I frequently do to make sure, I like the hotel/motel, and then I extend my stay if I do or move on if I don't. It's important to note that I was charged a $50 deposit, which nowadays is unusual, since they have your card and can charge you if there's any damage. I paid mine in cash. My first night there was less than sufficient. You would think with the name "premier" which as an adjective, means the best, top-notch, or first in rank, that they would at least have such things as toilet paper, a mini fridge, a working microwave, a complete set of towels rather than a washcloth and hand towel, a working television set, trash cans, etc. but these were not provided. I came to find out from an existing guest, that this was typical of the second building, but the first building had all of these "amenities." So, I advised them, I would extend my stay if I could change to the first building. They agreed, I moved and was happy with my room, except for the $#*! roaches. This isn't unusual in a lot of these places, and I used some natural remedies that worked, like cinnamon which roaches hate and a mixture of water, lemon juice and vinegar on surfaces. I stayed about two weeks. The staff were pleasant, helpful and respectful. However, on my second to last night there I thought I may be checking out that day, even though I had a reservation for the next night. I asked them for my deposit in case I didn't return and left my two keys at the front desk. They obliged me and said if I did return to pay the deposit again to get the keys and I could get back into the room I already had a reservation for. I did indeed return but after they closed, which is 11 p.m. and since during the day I found I had an extra key, that I didn't remember I had when I "checked out," I didn't feel it was necessary to call the number on the door since I could let myself in and I was checking out the next morning. When I did finally check out the next morning, I was accused by a young woman at the front desk of "bamboozling" their system. I explained the situation and assumed since there was no damage to the room, that all was well. I couldn't have been more mistaken. The next month, I made a reservation again for two nights to make sure I could get a room in the first building. To get the best rates, my first night was with booking.com and the second was with hotels.com. When I arrived, James, who previously was very friendly and pleasant, advised me after I told him I wanted to stay the whole month, if I could get a room in the first building, that I was on a "Do not rent list." In all my years of travel, I have never heard of such a thing, let alone found myself on one. I attempted to explain that this was a mere misunderstanding, but James spoke over me, would not listen, and would not "forgive" me for my transgression. He also added that had I stayed for the month, he would have put me in the second building, even though he said he had available rooms in the first building. I was told to get my things out of the lobby and find somewhere else to stay. James said that if I gave his name to the travel platform that he would agree to give me a refund. I went next door to La Quinta and told the clerk about my experience, and he said this list was patently ridiculous and he had never heard of this procedure either. He said he had heard about a lot of problems with this place. Anyway, I spent quite a bit of time with both platforms and James was recalcitrant, not agreeing to give me a refund even though he accepted my reservations and I was unaware of this list. Hotels.com was so flabbergasted by this that they took personal responsibility and gave me a credit for the whole amount. I got a lot of apologies and expressions of concern from Booking.com but no credit. So, I was out for one night's stay. A word to the wise should be sufficient.

Hotel Hell -- "You Get What You Pay For" -- Or Much Worse
This review is for the Irvine location on Technology Drive, with special focus on the management there. However, I have previewed a number of the chain's hotels and found most to be even worse off.
The manager here publishes regular monthly rates at $2250, which is cheap by California standards. The look-and-feel is strictly Motel 6, so that's the high standard for this sort of joint. But it's worth pointing out just what happens after you pay the first weekly (*functionally non-refundable*) payment. Then you drop your luggage on the bed and the place creeps up on you.
turned the TV on. It behaved like it had come it of time warp from 1985. The channel guide barely moved. When I selected a channel, it took 30 seconds to load. The actual video was jittery and the sound was broken. Totally unwatchable. So I shut it off. I didn't want to bruise my tender relationship with the Big Boss over this topic.
The refrigerator had been jammed into a tiny space in the corner with the handle facing the wall. It wouldn't actually open. I asked for a handyman. This was certainly getting me onto the office's official "shit list". The handyman and I moved the fridge one inch and the problem was solved. He was a quiet, friendly guy. "Good idea", he said.
I decided to do some laundry. Let me ask you: how much money could charge you to wash or dry clothes that would make you angry? I mean spitting mad? I think ESA did a survey and discovered the number which is --- wait for it -- FIVE BUCKS. Yup, and for shit equipment that was mostly broken. The office told me that "a third party handled that" -- remember Nuremburg? "I was just following orders"? Same basic tone to every discussion a ESA. Nobody is responsible for anything there and the theoretically responsible parties are nowhere to be found. The office told me to "call the number" if there was a problem with the laundry. Every machine did indeed have a phone number and a complicated code ID (think Canadian postal service for the confusion level). But there were machines marked as "broken" that had never been fixed. Other guests warned me that certain units weren't working. Nobody wanted to call the repairman because it was too much of a hassle. So over time, the room devolved into a place where it didn't just cost $5 to wash or dry -- you had to put the Russian Roulette revolver to your own head to see if you would have to pay another $5 because the dryer was not hot enough.
Then I got my work computer set up and tried to open my mail. Remember the TV set issue? Well it came home to roost. Something was way off with the "free wifi" provided by ESA. I started running SpeedTest.Net. The "free" speed was *less than 1 megabit per second*. Apparently ESA makes a lot of dough off of a "premium" internet service that they sell you when you realize how useless their standard service is. Of course, this is also handle by a "third party" over which ESA professes no control or knowledge. Indeed, I had to insist on being provided the tech support numbher for that service, which the office eventually coughed up like a fur ball. Yes, I did buy an hour of expedited service. That's because I am, like all humans, at least partially a stupid idiot massochist that needs to be punished by listening to what people in authority tell me. Premium Service. Yup. it went way, way up to 2.5 mbps. For reference, the crappiest television on Earth requires 5 mbps just to render non-premium channels. ESA couldn't even get to 5 mpbps on their $30-a-month premium wifi. The tech support staff told me that "they were only obligated to produce speeds up to 4 mbps". Which means no TV, no work computer. Nada.
This is when I checked out. I asked for a full refund. The Big Boss recalculated my 72 hours at the maximum rate possible so she could take most of my money. This is what I mean by "functionally non-refundable".
Other nice touches:
* Laundry is a done every two weeks; I asked for every two billion weeks so I wouldn't feel disappointed.
* No ice maker -- I think they had to tear the existing one out to make sure we didnt get one, since they are standard with most fridges.
* No dispose-all -- so somebody has to pay a plumber to suck the coffee grounds out of the pipes once a month - probably 10x the cost of the dispose-all.

checked in today 11-07-2025
checked in today 11-07-2025. Zaebrea at the front desk is very rude. Instead of standing talking to the guest she was sitting down with her arms crossed. I thought the customer service position at the front desk consists of you standing. Can you run the camera back. I went down to ask for a stopper to stop up the sink to clean the dirty broken cabinets and she told me that they don't have those and I should be able to wash the dishes without it. Mind you it's not what you say it's how you say it. I am a firm believer of that. Bradley Williams the manger is sitting in his office while this young lady is sitting on the desk arms crossed speaking and that rude way. He then begins to say I will get one for you. It so much that I can not type. My daughter who rented the room for me because my cancer treatments are down the street and it has a kitchen without gas because gas makes me sick. After I am looking around this dirty broken room she paid 486.64 it may not be much to you all it is a lot for us. I wanted to switch to one of your cleaner nicer properties after going there and speaking to someone. I called to see if I could switch. We were told we would have to pay the full 90.00 for one night and was not able to check out until the morning. So I am basically forced for one night instead of getting something back. I reserved for another extended stay. A better one but I have to stay here to not lose on the weekly rate. I bet you will not have your sick loved ones staying here.

I booked a room at Extended Stay…
I booked a room at Extended Stay America – Seattle – Everett – North and paid $105.97 in full for the night of June 3 through checkout on June 4. I called the hotel at 1:30 AM to confirm my late arrival, which was still within their stated 2:00 AM cutoff, but was told my reservation had been canceled and marked as a no-show.
I was denied access to the room I paid for and never received a refund. This was not a deposit — it was a full charge for a room I never got to use. I contacted both the hotel and Priceline multiple times, but no resolution was offered.
To make matters worse, I later saw that the same hotel advertises rooms for $80, and even $68 with rewards—far less than what I was charged. I acted in good faith, communicated clearly, and was well within the check-in window. Very disappointed in how this was handled.

My brother booked me at this hotel and…
My brother booked me at this hotel and I'm hating him for it. It was the location 1050 Hammond Drive. OMG was the place horrendous. There was trash everywhere around staircases. There are people I'm assuming who work there but don't have on uniforms blaring loud rap music and yelling throughout the evening and night. Why are there people yelling the derogatory F A word? Why are there people screaming that guests have Aids? I didn't catch the room number but it's unacceptable? Why are there people openly handing things in the windows of cars who drive and stop? The level of professional decorum at this place is ridiculous. I personally witnessed 2 obviously gay guys get out of their vehicle and immediately a couple Black guys were laughing and calling them the F A word. I noticed they heard it but they kept walking to their room. I would be remised not to report this to Extended Stay corporate. This was by far the worst Extended stay I've ever been a guest. May they need to be exposed on TikTok. The reviews on other platforms show how horrible the staff and conditions are.

“Genuine Care Is Always There". Genuine Accountability? Earned double Honors Points, at the Hilton.
I’ve stayed at Extended Stay Seattle–Tukwila before and generally enjoyed it, which makes what followed all the more baffling.
On one visit, I arrived stressed, and I’ll acknowledge wholeheartedly that I regrettably came off as short and possibly rude. Nothing outrageous, just a customer in a bad moment. Evidently, that was enough to earn icy stares and cold treatment for the rest of my stay.
On my next visit, I was shocked, appalled, and thoroughly embarrassed to be told I was banned. Not just from this hotel, but from the entire chain. At first, no one could explain why. It was only after chasing answers that I finally heard the accusation: apparently I had committed such an “egregious” violation of hotel policy that a lifetime ban was the only option. No details, no documentation, no evidence. Just a story invented whole cloth and repeated until it somehow became corporate gospel.
The real issue isn’t just the falsehood itself, but the process, or more accurately, the complete lack of one. At Extended Stay, it seems a single staff member’s word can trigger a permanent, company-wide ban. No review. No oversight. No chance to appeal. If that’s truly the system, then what they call “policy” looks a lot more like rumor dressed up in official stationery.
I’ve reached out to corporate through every channel I can find. Nearly a year has passed, and not once has a single piece of evidence been produced. On occasion, a reply appears under a review promising to “investigate,” but if that investigation exists, it seems to have gone the way of Jimmy Hoffa. Promises this thin don’t build trust; they expose the rot underneath.
Guests deserve better than to be banned for life on the strength of a grudge. Until the company shows it values fairness and truth as much as it values nightly rates, this stands as a warning: it only takes one bad day, one irritated employee, and you may find yourself blacklisted for life with no trial and no record, just hearsay and a shrug.

False advertisement and bugs!!! Ewweww
My mom booked the hotel when we stayed cause if I had seen any of the reviews we would of never stayed. First they is say they have certain amenities they don't. They have absolutely no customer service when they are confronted with a situation. After reading these reviews the manager Brian and the maintenance man are lying jerks that honestly have no business being in the hotel or hospitality business. They wouldnt compensate me or my family in any way called corporate whom was suppose to email mail me their info in case I missed these call and they did not leave message they just said on will and closed the case. Disgusting please don't stay there unless ur ok with multiple types of bugs being in the room, and bed.
