Extended Stay AmericaReviews of extendedstayamerica.com

Well at first the rooms and property look great the problem comes when you open a drawer and there are clothes left in there, and under the bed there is old food and trash, then the so called breakfast they serve is....... well let's just say for almost $200.00 you should get more then old muffins and coffee. I want my money back

I checked in for 11 nights. The price and proximity to a work project seemed to work. It's an efficiency unit, so I thought I'd be comfortable. There were no dishes, no utensils, no pots or pans, no toaster and no coffee maker; not even a roll of paper towels. I had to specifically ASK for these items. They were out of coffee makers the first night. This is now night #5 and there are none. I bought my own paper towels. It's not terribly clean. The carpets are stained. The bed seems old and needs to be replaced. Locks were changed during the day, and workmen never cleaned up the sawdust and wallboard dust when they were done. No common sense. The good news is there are some very pleasant front desk people who seem to sincerely want to help, but their hands are tied. Never, ever again will you see me, Extended Stay America. I've had decent success with Candlewood Suites and will continue looking for them when I travel. I travel a LOT on business and have for decades. Trust me: you do NOT want to consider this property if you want a clean, stocked, quiet and comfortable place.

We were moving and spent several days in Scottsdale ESA. Thinking it was like LA Quinta with a kitchen and refrigerator we thought it would be convenient. In actuality kitchen glasses, cups etc were add ons you could get for extra, I told them after the first night we didn't need maid service just empty the garbage.and supply new towels. I was told if we bring towels to the office they would exchange them, there is no maid service and as a special treat the dumpster was behind the building and we could dump our own garbage. The TV only showed a 6 in square in the upper corner. The manager was quick to come to the room and apologize for what many guests who didn't know the secret way to turn the TV on without causing thus issue. It was entertaining however watching the roaches in the bathroom. I wouldn't put this on your must visit list.

I booked a room with two beds at the Forth Worth - Medical Center location. The morning of, I got a call from that location telling me they overbooked their two beds and they could only give me a King room. I said no, I need two beds, we have 4 people. The person on the phone told me they could give me a room at their sister location WHICH WAS NOT WHERE WE WANTED TO STAY and I said OK if you can honor the same rate. We were literally on the road driving from 5 hours away at this time. The guy said he'd call me back to make sure they could give me the same rate. He never did. I called a few hours later and he clearly did not remember he said he'd call me back. So fast forward and we end up at the City Centre location. There is no one at the front desk. There is a girl there waiting with a laundry basket in her hand. After about 5 min and ringing the bell a few times she says "good luck, I've already been waiting here 20 minutes" and walks off. We continue to wait. No one is there. We call out a few times. After a few more minutes I decided to call the front desk. A man answers, who is not actually at the front desk, and says "ok I'll be there soon. I am helping another customer". He immediately walks out of the storage closet with the extremely strong smell of marijuana. He checks us in. We get to our room which is absolutely filthy. It's falling apart everywhere. There's filth on just about everything in the room. We couldn't even sit on the chair because it had white stains all over it. It was a horrible experience. Had I known this would have happened, I would have booked somewhere else. I have booked Extended Stays many times and have never had anything like this happen. But now I will steer clear of them altogether.

I enjoy staying here the rooms are big clean neat in my room the air conditioner hardly works one of the stove pilots doesn't work and the fan in the bathroom doesn't work and now they want to charge $15 a day late fee when I was told that I can pay my rent in two parts I work as a server so my paychecks come Tuesday night at 10:45 so I pay Wednesday morning and then Friday or Saturday at the end of the week when I get my tips but this $15 a day stuff when your rent is late does it not make sense when people are trying to make it it is designed for you not to make it to keep you where you at or on the streets and that's not fair to the people that do pay I understand that there's people that say they're going to pay every week and don't but I do and I'm paying 800 to $1000. a week and that's ridiculous when I work hard and I pay every week so now I would not recommend this to nobody unless you're going to stay for a day and then leave that's it so that's crazy

For the last few months I've spent over 3000 dollars staying in a extended stay in austin tx. My job took me to tracy california, where I booked at an extended stay for a week. I plan on being in tracy and staying at there hotel for around a month. I arrived a day early, so I called a sales agent to see if I could get the best rate for the one extra night. I was told he couldn't give me a discount, wouldn't even give me the weekly avg rate i would be getting the next day. he couldn't even match thier on line price. I would definitely recommend you find another hotel chain.

I stayed in their Pompano Beach location for 3 nights last week. The room is very basic , to say the least. The phone didn’t work at all. My room key card didn’t work and rather than bring me another, the receptionist insisted I come down for one. But the worst thing was that she chairs in the room are rolling office chairs which, on a vinyl floor, rolled around. I tried to sit down and the chair flew out from under me, which sent me flying and I fell badly on my head and damaged my shoulder. When I told reception, the reply was “ oh I’m sorry for that”. I’m back home now and have seen my doctor who has sent me for X-rays, etc. when he heard how this happened his comment was “ rolling chairs are the most dangerous “. Why are these dangerous chairs in a hotel room? I will NEVER stay at o e of these disgusting hotels again.

Unless your up at 430 good luck w/, breakfast you paid for
