Fraudster app DO NOT CLICK ON ANYTHING OR DOWNLOAD- Effecto have taken money out of my account, after clicked on the link briefly via Facebook. I didn’t even download it nor do I have an email confirmation of an order - so I can’t even prove to my bank that it’s a fraudulent claim. I see other victims here complaining about lost money -Effecto reply, and ask for an order number to refund - but they are conning you - just to sound legit. I will raise this with all the platforms and banks to try to solve this.

I have written to this company approx 5 to 6 times saying that I didn't get anything from them and I'm an OAP. I keep asking for my money back and always get told no. On this site I note they reply to us saying contact us and we will help, but they never help they just contact you quoting the contract that your not getting your money back but... we have stopped any other payments coming from your account, which to me screams they are exceptionally dishonest in the first place and that they found a loophole to scam you legally. I also asked for either a supervisor or manager to contact me but they passed me on to a JUNIOR Support member who condescendingly said i understand your frustration and then quoted terms and agreements of your not getting any money back. They also stated that you only get a refund if the service provided was damaged in any way but as it was perfectly provided to me i cant have a refund ( when was this service provided to me? Ive asked and had no reply of website details, etc to the product paid for or see where it actually says cancel subscription!). I received NO service from them not even the website link to enjoy my moneys worth and see what im supposed to have bought from them but... i on the bright side they say i can still use it until my next payment is due!!! I can't access the site or my account if i ever had one it wasnt actived by me!!! But as I never received or used the product that's tough luck as not receiveing the product is NOT in the terms of contract. I can remember ordereding a 5 day plan of some sort then as soon as I paid for the plan the website details totally disappeared and I could not find it again. Now they have taken more money from my account without prior notice to me therefore surely this is money taken under false pretences of a service i havent received and they wont give me detailst too as when I have asked for the website link etc they ignored me. I am taking this further and am going to contact The Martin Lewis show to see if he can expose this to the public, media, etc as basically being retired I have plenty of time to take this a lot further possibly at their cost for compensation to myself and to others being treated the same or in a similar way. Every contract you enter into is under a managers discretion but in this case a Junior Support person has made this decision.

The app for the carnivore was very limited in food choices, and hard to use so we barely used it during the trial. When we signed up for the trial we did not realize it would auto renew. We received no notification by email to remind us, when I contacted them they said no refund because of the terms that we “agreed” to again I am very diligent on making sure I have a reminder on my calendar to cancel renewals I don’t want. I didn’t have any notification, which made this even more disappointing that I am paying for another month that I won’t even use this app. - Updating on your reply, I did contact your customer service by email with the above concern and was denied a refund by your support specialist Jessica Bailey.

I never used this app and was still charged for a subscription I didn’t authorize. I reached out to their support team, expecting a simple refund, but they were completely unhelpful and refused to return my money. The customer service experience was frustrating and dismissive, and the fact that they keep your money even if you don't use the app says everything. Be careful — once they get your payment info, you're stuck. Save yourself the headache and avoid this app altogether.

Paid for the years subscription to give it a fair trial. Awful, didn't work as expected, buggy and was no good for managing my ADHD anyway. Didn't use it after the first couple months, but then was a couple days late cancelling because I couldn't figure it out (you have to email them your cancellation request it can't be done in the app) by which time they had taken another annual payment. Then they refused to refund me despite being able to see that I hadn't used the app and that it did nothing for me Shocking customer service, they don't care about helping people with ADHD, they just want your money.

this is a total scam. I did not sign up for anything yet they are taking money refuse to even tell me how and when I signed up and refuse any form of refund. Do not download the ‘free’ app. these people are scum. Update: re the reply- for anyone still considering…the answer below makes it look like they are now sorting this out offline. They have made it crystal clear that they will not refund. This seems deliberately designed to exploit the specific difficulties of people with ADHD, exactly at the point the are likely to be struggling . As I say, utter scum.

Had payment taken from my PayPal account, I've never had the app or even heard of it. Total scam

BEWARE of this scam. I signed up for a free download and 3 months later have been charged - without notice. I haven’t downloaded the actual app so have not and will not use it. To say this app is supposed to be to support people with ADHD - the least they could do is give fair warning they are going to take payment/ renew. They are making money on the back of vulnerable people. They are refusing to give me a refund. Customer service is appalling and provided by 3rd party Zen Desk - so you can’t contact Effecto team directly. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
