I signed up end of February for a 14-day trial for US$0.99. I didn't like the product, the email marketing campaign itself was sloppy, intrusive and confusing. Imagine my surprise when I suddenly found my credit card had been charged US$79 for a 3-month subscription. I've approached them twice for a refund, and each time they refused quoting their "no refunds" policy. All they did was cancel my account to avoid any further charges.I'm now disputing the billing through my credit card company. UPDATE: They refunded my money without my having to write yet another email to customer service.

Here's my ADHD-friendly review. Pick a number. All roads lead to NO 1. Quiz is fun BUT after is DOWNHILL 2. I thought I was purchasing 3 months for $39+. NOPE. I purchased 3 months for $39/mo. 3. UNCLEAR costs 4. Decision fatigue (common ADHD issue Effecto) signing up. I think I was asked to purchase AT LEAST 3 ADDITIONAL things along with app. 5. PENDING payment on my card today for $39+. 6. Emailed, "I don't want app. Please cancel and refund or stop PENDING." 7. They responded quickly (hence 2 stars instead of 1). NO DOUBT they have an AI auto reply set up. ***They WILL NOT refund pending payment pointing back to THEIR POLICY! but will cancel after this month. 8. APP FUNCTION review - ADHD Nightmare! Find yourself a life coach for Executive Function to help you use it! P.S. I fully expect to receive the same pat answer that every other negative review has, get another pat answer when I follow their instructions, contact Google about it, then have to get my credit card involved. NOTE TO SELF: fun quiz does not equal helpful solution

Ironically, earlier today I went through the same onboarding process (but didn’t purchase) Chair Yoga. The process, platform, etc., was EXACTLY the same for EffectoApp.com-RIGHT down to the same penny for the exact same three subscription offers! A sure sign of a likely scam. No thanks.
