DRPower EquipmentReviews of drpower.com

Had an issue with my lawn vac hose cracking and the tech person helped me out with a replacement part needed. Excellent customer service and makes me want to do more future business since DR stands behind it's product.

The lady that took my orders was especially nice and helpful. She knew the equipment and made suggestions about what I might need to make my purchase more usable and safe. thanks

I needed a brush cutter for our eight acre wooded lot in Minnesota. We have a lot of buckthorn and cutting that out all by hand is a tedious process. I checked for the best equipment for brush cutting online and found DR Power. I checked out all the features of DR Power brush cutters and selected the one I wanted, ordered it online and also got some accessories. The ordering experience was easy.

I recently bought my 3rd replacement quick load string head for my wheeled trimmer. I have had my current machine for 3 years and absolutely love the performance and ability of it. I can not tell you how many people I have referred to get one also vs. other machines out there. Anyhow my new head does not want to use the string I have always used with no problem. I called customer service to explain and was told the head will not use smooth edge string. I tried explaining I have always in the past used this string but this new head will not retain the .155 string. It slings it out as soon as I engage the mower. I felt as if I was being told I did not know what I was doing in the proper operation of the head. Im sorry but now my previous satisfaction with the service I have received over the years has now declined. The company is becoming like most others, use what WE sell or tell you, or we are sorry we can't help you.

My DR Pilot lawn leaf vacuum is an impressive well made machine. it arrived at my home in a timely manner and was easy to assemble. The deck adopter for my lawn mower is another story. With the lack of information on the DR website such as measurements, I ordered the straight adopter that absolutely will not work. I actually need the angled adopter and will accept responsibility for the error. So my suggestion is this. With the expertise available at DR power and the availability of modern technology, DR could do a much better job offering the correct adopter. Perhaps even custom made adopters for a specific model mower deck. As a result, I am sitting here unable to use my expensive machine until the back ordered adopter becomes available.

JP did a great job getting me a radio. He is very helpful.

So the product seems like a good idea when you are watching the videos. But there are several red flags with this company. Their sales team is poorly organized, their communications are confusing, their web forms are broken and their delivery options are sub optimal. I feel fortunate to have cancelled my order before being billed. Thanks to all the other customers who have shared their negative experiences, I owe you one.

I have owned a DR brush mower since 2002, The old one had frequent breakdowns, but was serviceable enough to clear the trails on the Iliff Commons. We got a new 20 HP top-of-the-line mower over four years ago, and it has been in the shop more than in our shed, and on the job minimally. Best advice: the 5-year warranty is an absolute necessity. This machine is toy-quality. The old one used metal rods to shift gears. This one uses cables, which stretch and break. If you never change gears, it would be just a nuisance. If you really use it as intended, get used to constant headaches. It’s in the shop now because the electrical system doesn’t charge the battery, and it stops frequently, requiring a “rest break” to restart. The service people are very friendly and helpful, and sent two parts they thought would be needed by 2-day UPS air last Wednesday; they left Wisconsin today, 5 days late, and will arrive after a week. Thanks a lot. The engineering of these machines is a joke. If they are the national bestseller, it is because of their persuasive advertising. Take it from a veteran DR user— buy something else.
