7/6/2026 Collar purchased 1 year ago. We have a 5 year old Doberman-labradoodle mix Boo girl, she was a rescue from Alabama, an accidental breeding.  And we have Nelson, he is a rescue from the big Lab group LRCP in Virginia. Both dogs have been to training classes and they pretty good. Our dogs have personality, love to hike, swim, are great with other dogs, and kids.  After buying several other collars that really did not work well, we researched other options and decided on the Dogtra 280x after talking with the staff. I wanted a 2 collar set up, and the 280x controller HAS AN ACTUAL TOGGLE LEVER!!  The layout is simple and easy to use. I mainly use the "vibration" and at times the sound. The collar has surpassed my expectation.  Both dogs can and do hike off lead, as we hike 3-4 x a week, 4 to 6 miles each hike, and I would rate the pup's obedience a 7 out of 10, they are pretty good.  When the collars are on the dogs, both dogs are a 10 out of 10.  The collars work that good. I would tell others, save buying 3 or 4 cheap collars (as I did), and spend 1 time to get the top product, dogtra 280x. I purchased the Arc Ex collar in UK overall the collar has good technology and works. It could do with some design change though because of its hight and having two prongs in line it can twist sideways out of position on dogs neck and end up lying on side. I tried the comfort winged probe head but although it has four probes they are still close together so twisting still happens. Although it wouldn't work for small dogs it would be useful if a probe existed wider than width of unit. Think like a boat with outriggers so twisting cannot happen

First would like to state the GPS Fence collar is a great product. Second I have to give a big shout out to Shaun,Brandon and all the customer service people. After warranty work, I got the collar back and couldn't get the app to work. I was walked through the process to get it working right. Can't thank you guys enough.

Shaun was very patient and explained things very well using language and timing that helped me very much. He solved the problem by persisting after the first few bumps in trying to pair the collar with the controller. Thanks to him I did not need to send them back for repair because they work!
