BAD! I have used this service twice. The first time I was misdiagnosed and spent 4 days in intense pain waiting for the prescription to kick in. Did an in-person visit and was told my condition was the exact opposite of what the DR on Demand person told me.
The 2nd time I was having mental health issues. The dr was completely disengaged, reading from a checklist and basically seemed bored and indifferent while I'm describing the worst thing that has ever happened to me. Literally made my issues worse.
And NOW I keep getting emails from them wanting to charge me! This is a free benefit through my work. I emailed them back to let them know that and received no response. I just got another email demanding money and I am infuriated. I've looked on the website and can't find a link or email address to officially complain or set things straight.
Would not recommend lol!

Avoid - choose another platform
12/4/24:
Bye Doctor On Demand. My 3rd psychiatrist is no longer available, once again no notice to me. I called support, and the rep was unsympathetic, saying they "have no control" over the doctors' availability. Please see my original July review for more details of the frustration. Go to any other platform; this platform cannot provide consistent care for mental health needs and does not express the slightest regard for the inconvenience and disruption to their patients. Their customer service is rude; their providers delist with no notice, their therapists are not trained and judgmental.
I've used the platform for 4 years; they are free through insurance. In that time, it's been a very mixed bag. I've had 3 psychiatrists. One delisted from the platform after stopping my medication. The second retired from medical practice without providing the standard 30 days notice. I only found out when his calendar was not open. The third is wonderful so far, and I did let her know my previous history on the app. She is kind, validating, and fantastic at med management and quick refills.
I've also had a few therapists, with several also delisting from the platform or not fitting my needs. My current therapist started off well, however, he is recently pushing me to walk back a choice I agonized over. He is not validating my autonomy and not understanding my current issues. I have decided to stop sessions and seek care elsewhere. It is very frustrating to put in hours of work with a counselor who becomes impatient, judgmental and does not support choices made for my emotional safety. A good therapist supports your choices and guides you to better yourself, not interject their own biases and tell you what to do with your life. Remember, you are your own best advocate and an expert in your own life.
You can book fast here, and claims process fast. However, the therapy platform is overwhelmingly white; you cannot sort by race if you want an inclusive counselor. The counselors are mostly LCSW, and I've recently learned therapists can say they specialize in an area, while not actually having training for that area. I agree with another reviewer, it is very hard to have continuity of care for mental health here, since providers leave the platform without notice. If my current psychiatrist leaves, I hope she provides notice. The benefits of 100% coverage outweigh the drawbacks for now, but I will definitely pursue in person sessions in my city if I need therapy in future.
I have also used family med doctors for acute illnesses; you can book same day and they fill RX fast, so they were helpful during the pandemic when it wasn't safe to leave the house and very difficult to see a physician in town.
Overall, a mixed bag, and be mindful that while you can get decent mental health here, the providers can leave anytime, and the therapist training is widely variable.

SCAM!! Horrible Customer Service
SCAM!!! DO NOT USE! They sent me a bill over 2 YEARS after my appointments that should have been 100% covered by insurance. I talked my insurance company and the never received ANYTHING from Dr on demand. I’ve been contacting Dr on demand for months and their customer service is the worst!! They make no effort to help or resolve anything. It’s all canned/scripted replies. They won’t rebook it to insurance and just keep saying the payment is my responsibility even though they screwed up.

They will scam you out of your money because they won't run insurance correctly
I have been using this service for over 5 years. I have never been falsely charged. Since the beginning of 2024 I have been charged full price for services that my insurance covers 100%. They tell me the insurance is sending the wrong information and the insurance tells me that Dr. On Demand is running the wrong codes. Nobody seems to care, nobody seems to be able to resolve it. It's gone on for 7 months. I use this service for therapy, but it's starting to cause more distress than raw dogging life at this point.

I wish I could give -300 stars DO NOT USE!!
Had an appointment for ANXIETY, which if you deal with (I'm sorry) then you know I spent all day worried about this and preparing myself. Got on the app an hour before the scheduled time. The second it said it was time (which was actually a min early) I clicked to connect. It said "wait here, connecting to your therapist" while scrolling a bunch of useless tips by for 10 mins, never connected. At that point it charges my Venmo, with me still connected (or waiting to) $229 f@cking dollars for a MISSED APPOINTMENT!! I stayed on there another 10 min hoping he would show up just in case, nope. So finally just called support. Over an hour later, after their complete bs tech team "couldn't find anything" and said I canceled the apt, and after telling the entire story complete with details I otherwise couldn't have known had I not been on there, I was FINALLY issued a "ONE TIME COURTESY REFUND" well, how f@cking generous of you morons, thanks! Which I now have to wait 7 days to actually go back to my account. This app is either a complete scam, or just a bunch of total morons, maybe both. I had them delete me info and I've deleted the app, and I will go to the ends of the earth to ensure that no one else goes through the complete waste of a day, or panic attack that followed, that I've delt with trying to use this POS. Please, if you are reading this DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CRIMINALS. I promise you will regret it. They are complete $hit. Don't do it, it is NOT worth it at all. You will get no help and only lose money.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
I am a 66 year old male and occasionally get bacterial respritory infection that requires a ZPack antibiotic to remedy.
First problem with this site is that it CLEARLY states my request to see a Doctor, instead I got a PA.
Secondly after explaining this is something I get occasionally and describing the symptoms, he ignored EVERYTHING I said and said "he Feels my issue is a SInus Virus" and it will resolve itself in a few days.
WHAT A SCAM! NOT A DOCTOR< HE IGNORES MY RESPITORY SYMPTOMS AND TELL ME HE FEELS IT MORE LIKELY A VIRUS!
Even a first year Med student knows the symptoms for a bacterial infection - expecially lots of mucus and sputum (green phlegm) needs an antibacterial lilke ZPack or Augmentin -
$90 to hear I am not sick and I will be fine in a few days
Unfortunately, if I wait a few days I will ahve Pneumonia - this Yahoo PA is an Idiot - Its a scam, you dont get a Doctor and good luck with recovery -
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO USE THIS SEVICE - Its a scam
I called customer service after the fake appointment and the lady told me the company takes complaints seriously, and put me hold to speak with her supervisor about getting me some type of resolution.
Well guess what? Thats a scam too, after 35 mins on hold waiting on hold for her to return, the call dropped
Apparently their methhod of resolution is to put you on hold and not returning to the call.
AGAIN - STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM WEBSITE!

Signed up for a great doctor. My insurance pays 100% for virtual appointments. So they hit me for $25 a visit. They say it's because my claim is denied. Well I called my insurance company and they say DOD doesn't put the provider number on all the original claim forms. Just like the poor lady below. Now I'm out $125 (5x$25) & $62 (2x31) for retuned check fees = $187 I'm out so far.
