Awful customer service! They were ok in the shop but when I had an issue with one of my bridesmaid dresses it was another story. No help at all and the manager in the Watford store was incredibly rude to me. I tried to contact their customer service team and received a ridiculous generic reply that didn’t address my complaint. Beware, once you have spent money with them they don’t care!

Terrible customer service. When emailed customer service re a dress I liked they replied with standard email when I emailed back as my question was not answered i was told to ring round all David's stores to find stock seeing as I live in UK this would have been pointless and very expensive time wasting exercise. When I pointed this out needless to say they never replied . Won't bother using them again they don't care and are not helpful

I bought my prom dress there I am.in a wheel chair and my helper helped me put on my new dress there and went the extra mile they are very nice there my dress is beautiful and I love it. I wore it home and my helper pushed me out to the car and helped me get to the car they took good care of me I will always go there to Ontario Mills Mall

Popped in on a Thursday afternoon and was told I couldn't try anything on because I didnt have an appointment. The store was empty of customers and there were 4 members of staff doing nothing! When I finally got someone to assist me, she was dismissive of my wedding plans - I'd go so far to say she seemed downright judgemental of my small wedding. A wedding dress is an expensive decision and buying it is a huge part of the process - probably something most girls have thought about all their lives. A bit of Customer Service Training wouldn't go amiss here!

I would not shop for any kind of dress at David's Bridal, especially the Birmingham store. They have a member of staff that commented on my sisters size, six weeks ago I went to complain to them as my sister was so upset over it. I asked them to write to her and apologise and they couldn't even do that. Having chased them and got more annoyed, I finally spoke to the manager today who suggested it was my sister who made the comment...needless to say, no written apology for my sister. If you are feeling a bit self conscious DON'T go to this place and spend your hard earned money. Imagine if you are a young impressionable teenager going for your prom dress and someone comments about your weight, how would you feel and what emotional damage and distress could that potentially cause. You never know how someone is feeling about themselves. If just one person decides not to go to this place as a result of this post, I shall be happy.

David's put me through unnecessary stress when my dress did not arrive on time and no one from David's could tell me what's going on. Calling the store requires a lot of time and patience as the phone would ring off the hook for a good while (longer than 5 mins) before someone picks it up. Another frustrating part is having to tell the entire background story over and over again every time you call as there's always a different person picking up my case and they don't seem to have a system where they can record the facts so that a new staff picking it up can familiarize - if they do, I think the staff are too lazy to read! The entire process of finding out where my dress is and eventually collecting it (8 weeks after purchasing it instead of 4 weeks as they originally stated, and only 6 days away from the event), I end up speaking/dealing with 10 different David's employees! They are very disorganized and the staff do not talk to each other. Whatever system they have does not work - 6 weeks after I purchased my dress, no one from David's know the whereabouts of my dress and if I have not initiated the contact with them, no one would have actioned in trying to find out why my dress is still not here or what happened. The Manager who dealt with me when I went back to the store to fit the dress was not very sympathetic or sensitive of a customer's concerns. She was even a bit annoyed I think when I was complaining about the whole protruded process. They end up altering the dress as I'm a size 8 (this is what I ordered/purchased) but they sent a size 10. And to my dismay, they still asked me to pay for a portion of the alteration charges instead of offering me a discount as compensation for all the stress and inconvenience they have caused me! To make it worse, they even asked me to pay for the garment bag for the dress! Unbelievable!!!! To all the brides to be, my only mistake was not researching and reading reviews prior to going with David's Bridal. They are chronic in the issues that I've had and they have this ridiculous "no refund" policy which should be illegal. No bride to be should be put through any of the unnecessary stress and inconvenience they have caused me and several other brides so please stay away from David's. I'm surprised that a big name like David's really suck at customer service and what's even more surprising is the fact that they are still operating in the UK!

My sister has recently tried to order bridesmaid dresses from this store and the service has been utterly appalling- do not use this company unless you want lots of added stress and complications, as my sister has to have during her bachelorrette party. She now has dresses in the incorrect size.
