I am extremely disappointed with my experience at David’s Bridal. My son is getting married on Sunday, September 27, and I was unsure about the dress I had purchased because I wanted to make sure I truly loved it before wearing it to his wedding. I was told by DoorDash, as well as by David’s Bridal before I proceeded with the DoorDash delivery, that if I decided to return the dress, I would receive the full purchase amount back to my original form of payment. Unfortunately, when I went to return the dress, I was told something completely different. The manager, Vanessa, was extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional throughout the interaction. I was not treated with the level of customer service I would expect from a business that specializes in such an important occasion. To make matters worse, I was not given the full amount I paid for the dress. Instead, I was issued a David’s Bridal gift card for an amount less than what I originally paid. I have no intention of shopping at David’s Bridal again, so receiving a gift card was not an acceptable resolution for me. This experience was especially upsetting because I was simply trying to make sure I had the right dress for my son’s wedding. I would strongly encourage brides, mothers of the bride, and mothers of the groom to carefully understand David’s Bridal’s return policy and get everything in writing before making a purchase. The way this situation was handled left a very bad impression. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend David’s Bridal based on my experience with their customer service.

Ordered my dress online, was shipped the wrong dress after finally getting hold of somebody in customer service they told me they'd call back in 48 hours, and would get me my dress shipped overnight. I called back 4 days later cuz I had never heard anything and was told that the delay in getting back to me was because the dress I ordered is not available so I'm just going to have to order a different dress online. Now I'll be going to my brother's wedding in a different dress than the rest of the wedding party. I couldn't be less satisfied with David's bridal and will never be using them again and we'll make sure everybody I know never uses them either

I can say, with pure confidence, do not shop here. In store staff is a revolving door so rarely you’ll get someone who knows what they’re doing while others are more focused on commission. Not that commission is a bad thing, but it is when the managers are desperate for numbers. Online however, a different beast entirely. Phones go hours if not days before answering. If your dress shoes still in progress or “getting ready” I promise you the warehouse does not have the dress and instead of owning their own inventory mistake. It’s on you to find out through your own research. Restocking fees? Outrageous. Paying for mistakes that were never yours is unbelievable and unacceptable when they could and probably still can make prepaid ups labels to avoid you paying! I knew they did for me when they screwed up my order but this was before the new CEO took over.

We live several hours from the nearest David’s Bridal, so when we made the trip for our scheduled Mother of the Groom and bridesmaid appointments, I assumed having appointments meant someone might actually be prepared to help us. Adorable assumption. The person assigned to us was neither knowledgeable nor helpful, and “friendly” would be an ambitious description. Mostly, we seemed to be interrupting her day by having the audacity to show up for the appointments we had scheduled and ask for assistance. So, we left and eventually ordered the bridesmaid dress online. As I clicked “Place Order,” I remember thinking, Well, surely the online experience can’t be worse than the in-store experience. David’s Bridal: “Hold my bouquet.” For days, the order didn’t even appear in my account. Had they received it? Was it processing? Had I hallucinated the entire transaction? Who knew! After spending an impressive amount of time on hold with customer service, I became intimately familiar with a mysterious place known only as “the fulfillment center.” Unfortunately, the fulfillment center was either not open yet, needed to be contacted, or apparently existed in a dimension inaccessible to both customers and customer service representatives. Eventually, someone confirmed that yes, I did, in fact, have an order. Great news! Then the expected delivery date came and went. Since the order still wasn’t visible in my account, I had no way to tell whether the dress was delayed, back-ordered, shipped, lost, or enjoying a nice vacation somewhere. So back I went onto the Customer Service/Fulfillment Center Carousel. Round and round we went. Finally, I was advised that, “just to be safe,” I should order ANOTHER dress because that one was showing an on-time delivery date. No worries, they said. If the first one arrives, “you can just return it.” What a wonderfully simple solution! One tiny detail somehow failed to make it into that helpful advice: David’s Bridal charges a restocking fee on the return. So their solution to their inability to tell me where the dress I had already purchased was located was for me to purchase a second dress from them. And then pay them a fee to return the extra dress they advised me to buy. Pretty impressive, I'd say. In the end, both dresses arrived. Later than expected, but thankfully in time for alterations and the wedding. So the crisis was averted. I’m only out the completely unnecessary, and conveniently unmentioned, restocking fee. But I did receive something even more valuable from this experience: absolute clarity. We have several weddings coming up in the next few years, and I can say with complete confidence that David’s Bridal will not be involved in a single one of them. Never. Never. Never. To anyone considering this route for an upcoming wedding: I wish you a beautiful wedding, a happy marriage, and the very best of luck. Especially with the fulfillment center.

My daughter had an appointment. We picked out a few dresses to try on. The girl only brought out the most expensive dresses. I asked for the others dresses for her to try on. She brought it out but I could see a change in her demeanor. She wasn’t encouraging her in any way . She also brought a full priced veil out. Another attendant gave us the actual veil that went with the dress and it was on clearance. I could tell at that point that she was upset because we didnn’t purchase the 3,600 dress but bought the one that was 2,600 instead. When we went to check out she never said thank or nothing to us and passed us into another girl. The total with dress, shoes and the veil came to $3,400. We were then booked for a fitting and showed up. We were never told it would cost another 499,00 to be fitted. When we went to pick up the dress the girl that sold it to us never even acknowledged us. Nobody wished her the best. It was a very bad experience that my daughter had to experience. Very poor management.

Received previously altered returned dress, too close to the wedding to reorder. My “custom in store order” arrived fitting completely differently in the bust than the dress I tried on in the same size and style in store. I took it to my tailor assuming I had made a mistake, and she showed me it was previously altered. Padding inside the bust was cut and fabric was removed. Of course after waiting months for the dress to arrive the first time it’s way too late to exchange, so if I want my money back I’ll have to sue in small claims court for the dress cost + the $185 I spent on tailoring just to still have a dress that doesn’t fit. Do not shop here unless it is 6+ months before the wedding and you have time to fight them about a return and wait for another order!!!
