Appalling service from start to finish. Do not be fooled by the smiles and the glamour of this place. Take your money and go elsewhere where they actually do care.
All was good at the booking of our appointment to go and try on bridal dresses. The bridesmaids each chose their dresses and payment was made in full, only for them to phone a week later and us finding out they ordered the wrong dresses, wrong sizes and now in order to correct ‘their’ mistake, they would have to re-order but can’t guarantee that it would arrive on time. After going back and forth they finally managed to order it. We were advised that we would receive a phone call when the order arrived. We did not receive any indication that they dressed had arrived until we phoned David’s bridal only to be told we need to go as soon as 7/10. Days as they won’t hold it. Get there only for our appointment not to have been booked even though confirmation of the appointment was sent to the bride via email.
The staff were rude and unprofessional as soon as I said that we were going to alterations elsewhere and not through them as their prices were ridiculous. The lady very unprofessionally demanded that I pay £20 for the ‘time’ they spent on us, which was basically about 10-15 mins. I had no issue paying as I just wanted to get the hell out of there.
We received no apology throughout for all their errors and bad customer service but they were very quick to demand payment on collecting the dress just because I didn’t agree with their prices for alterations.
Now I would understand if this was the case of bridezilla but the fact that we were so patient, understanding and didn’t kick up a fuss, ZERO customer service. I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star rating. Just pomp and show but the service you receive is below average.

David’s Bridal- dropped the ball
David’s Bridal: 2 stars. Would not recommend. But they already know they have a select, one-time-only market, which is why they can get away with pulling stuff like this. I had my bridesmaids order their cobalt blue dresses in November for a wedding in May. That’s a 6 month advance order, for those of you playing at home. 3 of the dresses came in just fine. The fourth just never showed. The bridesmaid in question played email tag with David’s Bridal for a few weeks before learning that the dress had somehow vanished. None of their brick-and-mortar locations had it, and it wasn't sitting in a warehouse somewhere. So in March, 7 weeks prior to the wedding, my bridesmaid learns that she has no dress, and David’s Bridal has just given up on trying to fix the problem. They gave her a refund and sent her on her way. Fortunately, another bridesmaid applied a generous helping of Google-Fu, and found another website that sold the EXACT SAME DRESS. (whitebridalhouse(dot)com) Same dress, same color, same everything. I suspect that they have the same supplier, but I don’t know that for sure. At any rate, my bridesmaid ordered the dress through this new website, and 9- count them- NINE days later, she’s got the dress. Right color, right size, everything. If I had it to do again, I would have gone through White Bridal House the first time. I know David’s Bridal is a business like any other, but making a bridesmaid (and the bride) stress out unnecessarily- poor form.

A great experience as a first time bride!
Scheduled an appointment very last minute with the team at the Watford store and was extremely pleased with my experience.
I arrived early for my appointment and the coordinator, Maddie, did everything she could to get me to see a stylist as quickly as possible. Within half an hour I was sitting with my stylist, Toni, who then spent the rest of the afternoon assisting my mother and I while I tried on what felt like 3,000 dresses because I just wasn't finding what I felt comfortable in. Toni had the patience of a saint as she sifted through dress after dress, on the shop floor and in the stock room to hunt down the dress I had fallen in love with.
With no specific expectations of how the appointment would turn out, my mother and I walked out of the store having purchased my dream dress seamlessly. To top it all off, the dress was discontinued and we even had another £200 off the listed price because it was also on clearance.
I'm very much looking forward to collecting my dress and the next stages in the process.
A huge thank you to everyone at the David's Bridal store in Watford that made my first bridal experience so wonderful and included my mother every step of the process.
Thanks again!

Stratford Store:
I found my dress on the initial visit and viewed the reviews afterwards. Needless to say I was quite hesitant after reading.
However I had no issues. I meet with 3 different advisors. The first two were brilliant - 2nd more so than the first. Being Italian she gave me advice on accessories without making me feel that I needed to purchase more from the store.
My dress was discontinued but it arrived much earlier than expected - 3 months earlier.
Two things could be improved here.
1. Store is difficult to find.
2. I kept have to book appointments as a new bride in the site which appeared to irritate the shop staff.
Otherwise very helpful and willing to give a fairly honest opinion.

I visited David's Bridal in West…
I visited David's Bridal in West Springfield, MA on March 30, 2019. I was looking for a dress for a wedding, as a grandmother to the groom . I was promptly greeted and assigned someone to assist me. Her name is Nikita and she was very attentive and helpful. She helped with getting different sizes and dresses. She also suggested, shoes, and brought me different styles and sizes. She was also helping other customers, but was there whenever I needed something. I made a purchase that day, and want to thank her for her awesome help. Carol Curtis

Bait & Scam
They tried to sell me a dress a size to large, so they could charge an exorbitant amount on alterations. They told me they didn't have my size in store & that my size wasn't available to order, so I checked their online site and yes they did have my size. The manager apologized & my correct size was ordered. I will never recommend this bridal store. When I picked up my dress, they were extremely rude.

Rubbish service
Firstly, I must say I love my dress, but have been apauled by the service received from the staff in the Birmingham UK store. When I initially chose my dress, somebody from store suggested a clearance one as I was on a tight budget, I really liked it and when questioned why it was in the clearance I was told because it was old stock and discontinued. I was happy with that. I then noticed a huge rip in the the top layer. This put me off, but the store manager said that she would be able to fix it and repair some of the lose threads, she also kindly deducted £50. I agreeed after being what I could only describe as being pushed into the sale but explained that as I was planning on losing some weight, I would need alterations and that could possibly impact on my budget. The assistant helping me and the seamstress who she asked advice from said with a bustle, sleeves and alterations it would be maximum £300. This was way over my budget but I agreed thinking that this was the maximum, the countless members of staff who came by to tell me how much they love this dress and how it was made for me etc etc also pushed me to the decision. I left the shop feeling like I’d made the wrong decision! On the drive home I described to my mum that the whole experience was like being in a large car sales place. Where every sales person tells you the car you are looking at is their dream car!
I spent the next month or so looking at alternatives, however I had paid the deposite!
The day came for my fitting and I had lost a stone and I felt much happier in the dress. I was initially disappointed that although the hole had been repaired really well, the loose threads etc hadn’t. I was then completely stunned by how much the alterations were calculated at £390, without sleeves!!! I explained that this was considerably more than I was advised. However I at this point had little options so paid them as I was happy with the dress.
Fast forward to today, I tried my dress on and noticed straight away that the lace sticking up on the neck line and loose threads hadn’t been touched. The dress did fit well and I was happy, until I asked them to show me how to put the bustle up. As the assistant was showing us, my mum noticed a large hole the size of a two pence piece in one of the top panels and a further five smaller ones underneath. The assistant then said that I must’ve done it with my heels!!!! I can catorgorically say that did not happen and would be impossible as the shoes were put on after I was wearing the dress and these holes were on the top layer of lace! I then noticed that the hem on the next panel was all dog earred and looked torn. She said that she would be able to fix it and I could come back. I explained that I live at least 45mins away and that I fly on Tuesday, and have no time! However I also do not have time to shop for another wedding dress so was willing to cancel my mother’s day meal on Sunday (and loose the deposit) to collect it then. I then suggested that she gets the seamstress to see if it can even be repaired it was clear that the holes would be visible when stitched. She agreed and said the panel would need replacing. She then got another lady who said that the holes were noticed when it came in for alterations as if to suggest they were there previously. I replied that they 100 percent were not there as I went over that dress twice on different occasions the first time when I felt pressured into buying it to check there were no other holes other than the one mentioned earlier and the second time when I noticed they never repaired the loose threads etc, during the fitting appointment. She then again told me that the were there and that she chased it up/ queried it with The lady who did my fitting who apparently told her they were already there and we knew about them. This is where I feel your service is most inadequate. For one, ‘if’ she had noticed the holes why didn’t she say? Especially as I was paying nearly £400 to make it perfect! Secondly, if they noticed them whilst being altered why had nobody informed me? This is a bridal dress, I have paid the best part of £400 to alter, why would I be happy to leave large obvious holes in it? The blame has been passed around and nobody was taking responsibility! Again car showroom tactics. I expressed my disappointment, to the manager, I completely accept mistakes:accidents happen, but to pass the blame and try and blame me as the assistant today did is completely disgusting and then the follow on service. The hole and quality of the work is not the issue, it’s how it was dealt with and the service I have received throughout (with today being the absolute icing on the cake!) that has annoyed me most!
To be fair, the store manager did arrange for the dress to be repaired today which has helped me out massively however I expessed that I needed to leave Birmingham by 2pm to ensure I was able to collect my son from school at 3pm, the dress wasn’t ready when I arrived (after they rang me) and I had to arrange and pay for my son to go to after school club. I also missed my appointment for at the skn clinic up the road due to the earlier issues that too will have cost me £70 which I won’t get back, and will not be able to reschedule! A total of £85 out of pocket. I was also advised when purchasing the dress that it is packed into a box suitable for hand luggage, which it isn’t!
All in all, what should have been an exciting happy day which myself, my mum and best friend have taken time off work for has been stressful and very unpleasant!
I apologise for the length of this review, as you may be able to tell I am extremely disappointed with the whole experience of David’s Bridal. Will I recommend them? Definitely not!!!!
