*Original review with updates to follow:
An item purchased online was shipped very quickly by the provider, using DAI Post. I was able to track the order which arrived and passed customs on the 12th July. I allowed 8 days to pass without a change in location, prior to reaching out to them. They stated they would escalate and investigate, with a reply "within 1 business day" - I waited 3 business days to follow up via email (still no reply as I type this review, 28th July), I leave it another business day to call (20+min on the phone) with the representative stating that "the product is damaged, that's why it hasn't shipped" (when were they going to notify me?). I asked for a photo to provide the supplier, I was advised I would receive a photo on Monday morning, however, here I am after another call chasing up the photo (without result) on Tuesday afternoon. They're just giving me the run around now and I have now contacted the NSW Office of Fair Trading.

The worst end mile carrier/courier one could have and its not even close
The worst end mile carrier/courier one can ask for. Where do i begin?
- several weeks delay (till now still have not received my mail, supposedly stuck at customs, edit: finally received it after 2 + wks in customs and 1 week after paying crazy clearance fees)
- extremely slow customer response (no response with ticket sent, unless it is straightforward open and shut case)
- extremely slow phone support (may take up to 10-15 minutes before you can get someone to connect)
- extorting crazy high clearance fees (higher than fedex/dhl by a far mile, its not even close), not even sure why is this collectable when courier companies are paid to send stuffs… so they earn profit through extorting these fees from customers.
- bad phone support (support changes players every single time you call, and repeats the same non-chalant answer over and over, which i believe is supported by a call center
- Hired / used by EBAY (which is very unfortunate as this affects EBAY as a company whole) , u have a lottery choice of which end mile carrier u get and u better pray u dont get them.
- they absolutely do not care whether or not you get the mail on time, unless you call in to chase them for an update over and over again
i would give negative stars if i could, because they are not even worth half a star, and its 0 stars for actually doing their job.

Due to customs and tax payment
Due to customs and tax payment, the parcel was delayed for more than 2 weeks. Once we settled payment, process was slow as well.
Their customer office Lerry Barcoma was very good but very much limited by the company/s awful backend process from finance to order release.
My suggestion to the management is to review their backend process and make it more efficient to front-end clilents. Else even the best customer officer can only do so much to assist client's anxiety.

Delivery, Optional
I feel I am VERY lucky after today's experience with DAI.
My past delivery experiences with DAI always seem to be coloured by delivery people, who don't seem to care if people actually receive their parcels.
They have either left the packages in unsafe places, & not attempted delivery, or pretended to attempt delivery, & simply dumped it at a local hub.
Now, I've read a few things about DAI sub-contracting, & whilst this means of service exists in multiple facets of life (Uber, Air BnB, etc), unless you are in charge of your own quality control, & you care about quality service, then going this way can sometimes backfire.
The package had another company for the final leg of the journey
I had a package coming from overseas, & this had actually travelled pretty smoothly, based on tracking information.
This morning DAI sent an update that the package was on the road, & to be ready! The excitement was starting to reach fever pitch! (According to them!) Of course, I was happy that it would be coming.
Well, I'm very glad I was ready, as I may never have received this package.
I am currently at home after a foot surgery, & I would normally get my parcels sent to my work, as my living area can be very hit & miss, due to occasional thefts. Being at home, & with another person in the home, you'd think there is a good chance of things being OK.
Aus Post successfully delivered some other packages this morning, so I knew my intercom was working.
Fast forward to a little while later, & with aforementioned excitement building (Copyright:DAI) I heard a notification bleep on my phone.
I was in the midst of something, & was going to ignore it (No, no! Not that something - I wish!), when a 'hmm..' feeling, inspired me to check what it was.
Lo & behold, the message received found DAI giving themselves a big pat on the back for successfully delivering my package. Aaalrighty then!
However, to quote Rocky - as he fought Tommy Gunn in the streets of Philly, & a received an initial pummeling, pulled himself up from the floor, & drawled; "I didn't hear no bell!"
So, pulling myself up from the floor, & onto my knee scooter (Oh the glory, & the triumph!), I embarked on the hunt for the parcel.
Possibility 1: The building security door had been open, & the parcel put at my door? Nope
Possibility 2: The parcel just inside the security door? Nope again
Possibility 3: The parcel outside the security door? Nope thrice
Possibility 4: Left in my post slot? (Which is streetside, & has been jimmied open, previously) & NO, yet again, & with worry starting to set in, even though it hasn't been that long since the parcel was "delivered", I scoot back up to the building, as fast as my one usable leg would push me, & to the second security door, further down the building, & NO, yet again! DAGNABBIT!! (To put it mildly)
After performing a 60 point turn on a narrow path, with a drop flowerbed on one side it (of which I have spectacularly fallen into, whilst riding the knee scooter, on a previous occasion. D'oh!), I scoot back towards the street, hoping that maybe, just maybe, the so-called "delivery person", might still be delivering nearby.
About to descend the ramp to the street, when my eye catches 2 flashes of white. I bring my rusty 'steed' to a halt, & two packages are on the edge of the path, propped against some overhanging plants from the flowerbed.
One is mine, & the other, for a neighbour
The security door for my part of the building, is less than 10 metres, another 10, & you are at the second security door, which is the entry for my neighbour.
I do a good deed by actually attempting a genuine delivery. My neighbour is home, & grateful to see her parcel safe, & is also stunned at the sheer laziness/ ineptitude of the "delivery person".
Now, my parcel did have an 'authority to leave' instruction on it - NOT from me, but the sender. However, I have always felt that this would be an acceptable instruction, if a GENUINE delivery attempt had been made.
In my head, a genuine delivery attempt would consist of:
A- Going to the address in question.
B- Walking to the entry/door/lobby
C- Ringing the bell/intercom of the recipient.
D- If no answer is forthcoming, THEN activate the instruction to leave, & only THEN, in a safe place.
So, with only Stage A being completed from the points above, a genuine delivery attempt it is not.
Seriously, 10 more metres to me, followed by 10 more to my neighbour.
How lazy, or just plain indifferent can the delivery driver be?
I had laborious exchanges with the DAI customer service previously, & given those, I'm reviewing them instead. I give people a chance but with prior issues, topped with the new one, I would be remiss not to.
Sorry for the long ramble, my painkillers kicked in, after I started this review.
DAI, you got lucky this time, but save yourself a heap of dung, & get some quality control!

DAI post not a good experience
I was importing a small order of dvd movies from a major retailer in the US. The parcel has been stuck at DAIpost for the past 16 days with no sign of release. They claimed the value saw over AUD1000 but failed to provide any evidence when asked. I sent receipts and bank statements as requested for the AUD400 purchase but they won't release. They send an email every couple of days asking for the same information each time. They just seem really bad at what they do.

Dont call yourself a delivery courier service provider if you're not gonna deliver
Calling yourselves a delivery company is misleading when you don’t actually deliver parcels.
This was my first experience with DAI Post, and unfortunately it was a terrible one. Instead of attempting to deliver my parcel to my home, it was sent straight to a collection point that is extremely inconvenient for me to access.
I paid for home delivery. If I wanted to travel to collect my own parcel, I wouldn’t have paid for a courier service in the first place. That’s the whole purpose of having something delivered.
When I contacted customer service to explain that the collection point was far away and difficult for me to reach, I was told that it was “only a 10-minute drive.” Okay and..? The issue isn’t how long it takes to drive there; the issue is that I paid for delivery to my home, not to a random pickup location.
After looking at other customers’ experiences, it’s disappointing to see that this doesn’t appear to be an isolated incident.
Overall, this has been an extremely frustrating experience. I hope DAI Post improves its delivery practices and customer service because, based on my experience, I would not choose to use this courier again and would think twice before ordering from retailers that use them.
