Goodbye CVS, today was the last straw
Long-time CVS shopper who loves the Extracare program. HOWEVER, I am done with CVS for good. The Carepass program has some great benefits. One benefit is getting 20% off CVS Health brand items. This is supposed to be valid online AND in store, but you almost never get the discount or the correct discount in the store. Yesterday I got ripped off over $1.00 and I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone today trying to get an answer as to why (the store told me the discount was only on vitamins, complete LIE). I asked very specifically why the discount was not coming up in the store when it's supposed to. I was transferred back and forth 7 times between Carepass and Extracare. No one knows what they are doing, some reps outright lied to me, one "accidentally" hung up on me, most just put me on hold for 15 minutes only to come back to say "the carepass offers a 20% discount on cvs health items". Like, yeah I know that, that's why I'm calling ... because I didn't get the discount!! I have never had a worse experience on the phone. Bottom line was someone finally acknowledged that I did not receive the correct discount yesterday and they will be escalating the issue. The thing is though, the 20% discount almost never works in the store even though it's part of the program. So basically CVS has been ripping people off for as long as Carepass has existed. Not to mention that the items always cost about $.30 or more in the store. Shady business + Employees who are uncaring and uninformed = Loss of customer. I will not buy from CVS again.
