I joined Crunch to have a membership that wasn't too expensive that was close to my grandparents' so that when I visit them, I could still work out. Because of the new COVID restrictions, I had requested that they cancel my membership. During the time the gym was closed, I received an erroneous charge. I wrote Crunch twice to have them reverse the charge and they had not. When I canceled my membership, I was told that I would have part of it waived and would only have to pay for an additional month, which was $30-$35. I received three emails stating that instead I owed $65. I responded to the emails and did NOT receive any responses back. I called the facility in Elk Grove and did not get a call back. But I DID get a letter from an attorney stating that my account was sent to them for failure to pay. Worst customer service. I'd rather pay the extra $ and go somewhere where they are willing to help with ANY issue.

If crunch corporate reads this: you're the worst kind of thieves this country has next to big pharma.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IF I COULD GIVE **ZERO** STARS, I WOULD!!!!!!
Over the years, I have been a member at many gyms and have paid my membership dues always on time (and sometimes early); however, **NEVER** have I encountered a gym that has not only disregarded my request to cancel my membership IN PERSON due to Covid-19 and having lost my job, but also after I had been a DEDICATED member for well over two years!! Not only did Crunch Fitness refuse my verbal, in-person request to cancel my membership, but when I asked to speak with the manager, I was told that they were “unavailable” and that I needed to call the 888 number to cancel my membership. And, so I did (many times), and each and every time, the result was a pre-recorded system that would automatically hang up at the end so that you could never leave a voice message or have the opportunity to actually speak with a HUMAN!! In addition, I went out of the way to email the corporate office several times, but without any luck. Finally, as a last resort, I went to my bank and placed a “stop payment” on my Crunch Fitness membership simply because there were no other options left that I hadn't already tried to do! With all of this stated, IT IS VERY CLEAR TO ME where Crunch Fitness’s priorities lie. They're more invested in taking your money rather than taking care of YOU — the customer!! You can be a dedicated member just like I was, but just realize that, in the end, you don't matter.
To make matters worse, little did I know that down the road, after placing the "stop payment" on my Crunch Fitness membership, I would receive a notice in the mail from a COLLECTIONS AGENCY, stating that I owed money!!!!!!! I WAS DISGUSTED!!!!!! This has never happened to me before, and it just comes to show the degree that this company was willing to go to in order to screw over a dedicated customer who sincerely tried to do everything necessary to properly cancel my membership!!
You can rest assured that I will be certain to inform others to NEVER give Crunch Fitness their business!!!!! Crunch Fitness doesn’t care about you! They care only about taking your money, and that's the bottom line!! If I could give them **ZERO** STARS, I certainly would!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was bullied into a 1 year membership during my trial and promised i could cancel anytime no charge. I tried to cancel a few months later, and they wouldnt let me without paying $300 to cancel early. So i decided towait until my year was up and cancel. I canceled the membership at the one year mark and stopped paying them, and they've apparently sent me to collections for $215. I called their number to try and straightne this out and guess what!! IT WONT CONNECT ME TO ANYONE. THIS IS ACTUALLY RUINING MY LIFE.

I don’t know how many f ing times I have tried to cancel my membership. I have no respect for this place at all.
I will do my best to warn everyone I know about the terrible service . Try calling their 888 number and you get a recording all is busy goodbye. The gym I attend is closed.

10/10
I just moved from California and was looking for a gym to go to. I first tried gold gym, absolutely worst customer service ever. I was dissatisfied. So I tried crunch fitness next. Darrell was awesome. Completely sold the place to me! It’s clean, the turn off machines for social distancing but even then there’s still more than enough machines. It’s a very clean facility. They have every machine you can think of. They offer lockers for your items. 10/10! Definitely found something better than even my favorite gym back in California. All thanks to Darrell for being the cherry on top and making it such a great experience!

just bad buisness
middle of an airborne pandemic and they won't accept that maybe I don't want to spend time in a building with a bunch of heavily breathing random strangers... tried to cancel my membership after a year and they claim the last five months don't count as actual time because of the pandemic and so to cancel I will need to pay an extra fee... just awful
