Crunch Fitness is a scam. They will bill you $54.00 for an annual fee regardless of the time of sign up. It could be within one month or two months. So essentially you are paying two annual fees in a one year time span. They also hit your account monthly whenever they want, as opposed to a set date. This can make trying to balance your account a nightmare. Avoid at all cost signing up with them.

Nice nice clean gym with lots of treadmills and bikes. BUT, they need more of the body building machines or some sort of help on the floor. I waste more time waiting for the leg press and sit up machines than I do using the treadmill. The clients tend to be younger and have no problem sitting on a machine to look at their phone for ridiculous amounts of time. I can see taking a break but that is not what they are doing. Today I stood behind the leg press for more than ten minutes and watched a girl play on her phone and look around. She literally did no more than five presses. I am not talking reps. This happens all the time. I don't have enough time to spend at the gym to get my work out done.

Signed up under pressure by my son who…
Signed up under pressure by my son who is 15, but not old enough to go by himself. The whole time I was thinking I was signing up for a month to month contract. went back exactly 7 business days later to cancel because we had scheduling issues and realized we were not going to go (we never did).. they said I was told I had signed up for a 90 day commitment, which is a lie! I wouldn’t have signed up if she had told me that! She did tell me that I had to give 30 day cancellation notice, and in good faith I was willing to pay for the 30 days (even tho I didn’t set foot in the gym)… then they refused to cancel because they counted the day I signed up so technically I was on the 8th day.
I asked to talk to a very rude manager who didn’t budge, or feel any compassion.. instead he told me I had to be responsible and honor my commitment for 90 days which includes their 50$ extra annual fee… initially when I was told about that fee, I thought: I get a month to see if I like it, and then 30 days cancelation, thinking I could because I was not told it was a 90 day commitment!
So he wanted me to pay over 120$ just to be responsible for signing a contract that they didn’t tell me I was signing!!
I wrote to their corporate customer service email begging them in good faith to reconsider canceling since the day thing is a technicality, and I will pay the 1st monthly fee in good faith..
but I highly doubt that someone will answer, they don’t even have a customer service number that works.. and the manager basically told me I was screwed!

Left important details out when I…
Left important details out when I signed up. I signed a one-year contract and a month after the one-year contract I assumed I probably had to go and I had fraud on my credit card but I needed to go in and change it and pay them and cancel my contract and so when I did I went in I didn’t get any phone calls up to this time. The girl at the desk told me that I now old $140 on a nine dollar a month contract For the first month of the next year of a new contract that they put me in automatically because I didn’t cancel 30 days prior to when my year was up and to cancel it. I had to pay that whole next year upfront and the yearly fee, and there was nothing they would do for me for it . It’s unbelievable and it’s such a scam. This is exactly why people don’t come back to these kinds of gyms don’t always go to a gym for the cheap price because it’s cheap for a reason.

Horrible experience in Odessa
Very, VERY POOR management, the first time I got denied to enter the installations due to a problem with their toilets the manager was at the door telling people they couldn’t get in because of that, while people was inside training with no problem, 2nd time they called me telling me I have to pick up my kids because the toilet again, they’re been trying to fix the same problem for at least 10 days, The young managers from Crunch have no idea what they’re doing, or how to deal with situations, Their Fake lashes look good but that’s all she had, the 3rd time and last one, I’ve had to take the risk to park in the towing zone because it was 29 degrees and I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old, I dropped them off at the daycare and went to restroom, I came back to move my car probably 20 min after and they got my car towed, and I understand it is a Towing zone, but if you see a mom with 2 kids getting in and parking a car just in front to drop the kids first, at least wait or do a warning, This girls are so good to walk around the gym and flirt with everyone but they’re incapable of when it comes to fix problems or analyze situations, this is for Odessa Location,I had my Membership for 3 years already, never had a problem anywhere else.

Good equipment, non terrible management
Crunch management treat this gym as passive income. There is no comms possible with management, they couldnt care less about members concerns. The Mentone gym i go to has a vending machine that simply doesnt work. Every member i have spoken to has lost money it and the staff behind the counter simply say "we have no access to it". Repeated emails to management go unanswered and the vending machine continues to operate today, stealing customers money.

Hospitalized
I was hospitalized, and reached out to crunch via email as I could not go into the location because I was in the hospital. During my hospital stay, I had to have an emergency c-section and the very next day my one and only son, passed away. I was told via email that both my membership and personal training would be placed on freeze. However, that was not the case when I was able to get back to the gym after dealing with the horrific loss of my son, postpartum depression, and healing from a c-section that would not heal. I realized that my membership was not froze and I had been charged. I had asked about it to the front desk manager and her response was that I had to come in to freeze the account. I ask how the hell was I suppose to come in when I was in the hospital? I ended having to email corporate which i include the dates of my hospitalization and I heard nothing back for weeks and had to ask again at the front desk and was told Oh they denied it... HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING!!!

I signed up for a yearly contract
I signed up for a yearly contract. Less than 5 weeks later they changed their membership policy to month-to-month. I went to cancel my membership after that due to its location not being convenient especially during rush hour and they told me I need to buy out the rest of my contract for $385. They knew within 5 weeks they were changing their membership policy. I feel scammed in my opinion. Refused to allow me to cancel. In my humble and experienced opinion, they are not a place to spend your money, in my humble and experienced opinion. I want to cancel and never go back.
