After reading the reviews about Crunch Fitness I understand that I am not the sole victim in this rip off scheme. Please be very careful before signing anything with this business. I joined Crunch, Sioux Falls location in July 2025. After paying the basic membership fee, I was scheduled for a welcome and orientation hour with one of the PT's who managed to sell me a one-hour a week fitness time. He made me sign a 15 page document full of fine print. I got suspicious and asked him why it was necessary to sign an ellaborate contract for just one hour a week of exercise. He explained: You pay for the service for 6 months whether you use it or not, however, you can use the unused sessions at a later time and that is why the contract was so much in detail. It was not that convincing but it was a busy day and I didn't have much time to dig deeper into the fine print. Well, two days later, it was time for our first scheduled session and he didn't show up. No one in the gym had a phone number for him. I went again the following week and he was there but it was on and off for three months. Crunch charged my card regulary. I paid for 12 sessions and worked out four times with the PT. Then he quit and left. Now I am trying to cancel the contract and get a refund but the staff at the desk have no authorization. They keep telling me that the manager will get back to me. After 2 visits, 6 phone calls and promises to call back in the last 10 days the manager never called. Crunch Fittness HQ is not reachable by phone and they do not reply to emails. In the end they are making me pay for something I don't use. If I stop the payments obviously they will come after me with the contract. This looks like a case that will end up in court. So again; don't go in there.

I love the crunch gym. Most of the gym have brand new machine, some location have sauna, tanning machine and the price is really cheap for everything that you got. It's been more than a year I'm going there and I really enjoyed.

I want to share positive experience. I had a lot great instructors for all the exercises have. Mrs. Sierra work the room. The ride Eli. Zumba Ineabelle and Neicy. And Also you have great Manager Marcos who takes pride to take care of his customers. This is new location in Homestead Fl just open up.

This review is only for the Crunch app not the gym! The app sucks big time! I find it hard to navigate and I have sooo many notifications going back two years because you can’t delete them! Nothing works. Also, when I leave a review for my trainer, who sees them? I haven’t been able to. If I didn’t have to use to complete a training session, I wouldn’t use it at all!

Poor Business practices. They charged me every month for an annual fee. The local location blames it on billing and billing blames it on the location location. The billing call-center is in India, the are rude and disrespectful. Its cheap for a reason. You actually get what you pay for.

I have the $10 membership and would consider upgrading to the $30 plan, but the extra amenities, such as the massage chairs, still haven’t been installed as promised. Additionally, I was informed that the gym doesn’t open before 8 AM due to staffing issues, but when I arrived at 7:58, someone was already present but wouldn’t unlock the door. He made sure to tell me, he let it slide this time, which I appreciated—but it still felt a bit ridiculous. Hoping they follow through on what was promised, or at least offer reasonable hours for a gym. Meanwhile, I also have an upgraded membership at Planet Fitness, which includes extra amenities and is open 24/7. So I pay $40 monthly for both PF and Crunch.

My son was diagnosed with cancer not long after he joined a 3-month trial at Crunch. He went in person to cancel on March 15th before the trial ended. He was told they would cancel it after the trial period ended, but they kept billing my credit card after that time. I called and they said someone probably neglected to note the cancelation and they would take care of it, but they continued billing. I called again, got a person's name and email address and emailed all the details, along with proof of my son's illness, but they still kept billing. I went in person and the manager told me I could "stop all this right now" if I would pay $182. I told her she was out of her mind. She said she couldn't do anything because they had sent my son's account to Collections even AFTER he went in person, and I had called twice, and sent an email as I was instructed on the second call, so they not only ripped me off, but messed up my son's credit score. I finally did manage to find a number to call and a place to send my complaint. They sent a ticket number which included "We'll be in touch..." That was on August 18th and I've yet to hear from them. Unfortunately, I did not save the number I previously called, and I cannot get in touch with them. The phone number for their corporate office answers with the message "We do not monitor this number."
